Thanks for an interesting and troubling local story.

Can anyone inform me as to why the board even wanted to replace the existing president, Richard White? He's only been in office for two years and now the board wishes, or demands he resign. What justification is there behind this decision. Were there open to the public reasoning as to why this was a need? What faults have they found in President White to necessitate this action be taken? If anyone has the answers to these questions, would you please inform me immediately. Truly,

Ken White

Sederburg and the regents would not be whining so much over procedure if Bouwis had won. I have personally worked for Brems he is a go getter with a why not attitude and will do great things. If you need proof look at what Mountainland was when he started compared to when he left.

I, too, am concerned about the reasons for not retaining Richard White who is an outstanding man and dedicated educator. While I recognize that there are some issues surrounding a personnel change that cannot be disclosed for legal reasons and the protection of the individual, I also feel the need to express my support for Mr. White. At the very least, I would hope there would be a very public expression of appreciation for his service. The bottom line for me is that one's employees at whatever level need to be treated with respect, not as livestock to be led to slaughter at our discretion.

Seems to me that Sederburg got his job in a similar fashion. All of the candidates who applied for the position were thrown out and he was picked. Hmmmmmmm

As an employee of UVU we're soooo.. glad you got this boy in SLC and away from us. An ego so large that it might fit within the boundaries of Texas or Alaska (not a bad idea). This is all too bad. It makes him look like a spoiled child that just always has to have its way.

UCAT campuses are known for burning bridges with anyone and everyone who leaves--they run people out of town and that is what happened to White, who brought stability to a very unstable organization.
