Dude, Brown was an animal. He killed us. I swear he was covering 3yrds per step. I hated to lose another one to those guys, but brown was just to fast for us last night. Congrats to MC on a good year, we will just regroup and give it another shot next year.
Great Job | 7:30 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Both teams played their hearts out. It is sad someone has to lose when you know both teams deserved to win. Kuresa still has another year and he will be just fine. Props to Brown who played a great game behind a great O line and great blocking. I think we may have underestimated the damage he can do running the ball. Next year is our year, Stangs! Work hard!

Great game, Trevor. We remember you fondly from your days playing in UC with our boys, and Chris, too. Good luck next week.

Both QB's played well, but Timpview's size and speed was too much to handle.

It's tough to tackle someone who's bigger than your entire defensive line, but it will be fun to watch him play college ball somewhere.

Trevor, you've had a tremendous year. Congratulations to what you have accomplished. It pleases me to see you give your teammates compliments - a sign of a great leader. Good luck against Springville, remember to enjoy yourself.
Brown | 10:46 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
What college is he playing for next year? If he isn't D-1 material I don't know who is. We could not catch him or tackle him.
should say | 1:38 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
article should be called timpview line plays big for brown. those guys worked hard all night, any qb running behind a wall like that can put up those kind of yards
great job | 2:03 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Trevor is smart enough to know that it isn't about one kid on a team. Timpview is successful because they all compete against each other for positions and make each other better because of it and they have the best coaching staff in the state and beyond. I am glad to see he is giving everyone credit. What I like about watching him play is he doesn't get rattled. He has great composure even when he makes a mistake and keeps everyone out there calm. I also have noticed him on the sidelines picking up cups and garbage thrown on the ground and he is always the first one out on the field to congratulate Covey and the backups. He is a good kid and a great football player. We will miss him but are excited for next year and what we can do!
re: should say | 2:12 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
I am pretty sure Brown gives credit to the line, and to the defense in every interview he has given....check for yourself. This isn't the time to get butt hurt and start taking pot shots. That's how teams fall apart and start losing games when people start making stupid comments that are meant to divide the team. Grow up.

Trevor, you had a great game. I think you should go to USU as a tight end. Nothing against you, but your arm isn't good enough at the next level. You would be a great tight end though. Keep that in mind, you are an outstanding athelete. Nice game.
Momma T | 3:24 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
The line just consistently does their job and doesn't get the spotlight or the glory. It takes an amazing, humble athlete to work that hard, and always, always put the team first. EVERYONE on the team puts in the hours and works to be there. It does not make Brown or anyone else less, to let our linemen know that they are the heart of our team and we love them. Timpview is an amazing team. Mountain Crest played well and their QB was a joy to watch. I read and hear too much negativity. These young men have worked hard. They represent us well. We should do the same! Their mothers are listening. Raise your standards and show some respect!

Hey Jordan Fan, nice suggestion for the TV QB to attend USU as a TE. That's the nice thing about him--he projects at the D1 level to many positions whereas your QB Hart has only one chance. You better hope for Hart that the TV QB makes the switch because Hart will be carrying a clipboard otherwise.
fairness | 4:45 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
In all fairness, the O and D lines have gotten most of the credit this year at Timpview from the coaches and players. So I don't see how anyones parents on that team can feel like they arent appreciated for their hard work.
o line | 4:56 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
give credit to the line on this victory, any qb can run behind a line like that and rack up yards
problem | 5:05 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
The problem here is that the kids could care less who gets credit for what, I am guessing it is the parents who care. I agree with the above comment, grow up. the players are just fine with each other without parents meddling in the game and complaining to coaches even when a team is winning because their kid isn't getting enough attention. last time i checked football is a team sport. if you want individual glory for your kid, have them play tennis or golf. ridiculous and it happens every day all over the state. parents need to stay out of it. thanks!
O line | 5:40 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
I agree that the O line, and also the defense played a huge part in the win. So, my question is who said they didn't? Huh? Did you read the article? or just these ridiculous comments from people who come on here and try to stir up trouble who probably don't even go to Timpview! If you do go to Timpview, shame on you. Isn't it good enough you are going to the championship....again. I don't get why people have to make themselves feel better by diminishing the accomplishments of others. Sad.
BYU | 10:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Trevor - join your big brother at BYU - even if you have to walk on. We are losing two great TEs after this year. Your brother is likely one replacement. Would be a great story to have brothers competing at BYU for the TE spot! And, you can see that BYU effectively uses two TEs well. George and Pita probably both going NFL.

Nice game - good luck next week.
Trevor Brown & Provo High | 11:01 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Trevor is Braden's brother? I remember those boys in diaper's in Lehi. The last I heard Les is on a mission and Braden is playing at the Y. Their Dad was an incredible athlete too, and a super super friend. Their mom was VERY nice to my children as well.
I don't know if people know this, but both Les and Braden won a 4-A basketball championship at Highland High.
Now the younger brother is leading his team to another state championship game...wow, wow, wow.
I agree, all I have ever heard from Trevor Brown is how his O-Line is doing this and defense doing that. Yet, he is the one I see breaking all the tackles. And I loved when one of his receivers caught a shoe-string catch for a first down, Trevor ran up and hugged him and obviously thanked him. I think the player was a back up most of the year, and Trevor just got excited about a team mate working hard all season and now makes a play during a great game.
I work at Provo High now and know a champion when I see one.
Re:KJZZ Fan | 3:06 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Ha ha ha ha ha ha. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Have you watched Brown throw? He is an outstanding athelete and runs very well, but a throwing QB? Enough said. You must be from PG with a comment like that.
RE:RE: KJZZ Fan | 6:17 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Brown is getting shoulder surgery after the season. He has needed it since last November. His arm is probably 75% right now. Give the kid a break. He is playing with an injury most kids quit football over.
Re:KJZZ Fan | 7:05 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
I did not know that. That is very impressive. I never said he wasn't good just that he didn't have a D-1 arm. That injury explains a lot though. I still think he would be a great tight end. It's obvious he can run the ball. Good luck to Brown and T-view next week.
Brown | 10:25 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
If he can gain 65 pounds this offseason, he could be a legitimate D1 Tight End. He has the hieght, But 6'4" 150 isn't the ideal wieght for a college tight end.
