Great season, Flyers. This year made me proud to be a Dixie graduate and former player for the team. Coach Monkres has done some awesome things with the team and helped prepare them for the much tougher competition they've been thrown into in the 4A classification. Sharp, Reber, Smith, Christensen and the other seniors all could have showcased a lot individually this year but they gave up their egos for the betterment of the team and finished one of the best seasons we've had in a long time. My congratulations go to Springville in their achievements and for finishing what had to be one of their more exciting games. Best of luck next week against Timpview, and if any Dixie fans are still up there, try to stick around to support Hurricane tomorrow. It would have been great to have two State trophies come down to Region 9, but let's make sure we get one now.
hats off to you guys for a great season!
Good job guys, way to play it out until the end. Just a play or two from an overtime. Flyers never give up, that's why the school's massive trophy case is busting at the seams with hardware. Now go get em' in basketball and baseball.
