Olberman, Moyers, and Rather are actually journalists. The reich wing liars like Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh have NO PROBLEM lying to fire up their sore-loser listeners.

Reading this would have nade a good drinking game - how many fancy words can you repeat and use in the same letter.

Moyers and Rather may be journalists, but Olberman is no different, I repeat, no different, than Limbaugh when it comes to venal invective. Anyone who has a segmentment that starts with "the meanest man in America" or "the worst person on the planet" joins the ranks of all "personalities" who defame, degrade and demean others.
You lost your credibility and perspective when you used the term "liars" and "reich wing" and exhonerated Olberman.
Anonymous | 7:50 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Surely there must be some moral obligation to civility and truth. Here the Beck, Hannity, Limabaugh crowd fail miserably.
RedShirt | 8:26 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
To "liars | 5:07 a.m. " didn't Dan Rather get fired, or at least get pushed to retire because of running with a poorly researched story?

To "Anonymous | 7:50 a.m." other than hanging up on uncivil callers and proving that the left is wrong, what have Beck, Hannity, Lumbaugh done that is so uncivil? People like Bill Maher have called America stupid, yet that doesn't seem to bother you, why is that, could it be that you are so partisan that anything that goes against your preconceived ideas is automatically wrong and evil?
@anon | 8:33 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Anonymous is Rham Emanuel. When I listen to Glenn Beck, I am both entertained and at the same time showered with truth. He uses the Marxists own words against them. How more true can you get?
Why the left continues to give Obama a pass on his agenda and associates is beyond reason.
beck lie | 9:00 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Beck claims that Obama has an unprecedented number 32 "czars" when in fact Gorge W Bush had 35 “Czars”. He also claims that these “Czars” are just put into place by Obama with no oversight when in fact only eight are Obama appointed unconfirmed brand new “czars”, further fifteen of the “czars” where created by previous administrations. In case you are wondering why “czars” are in quotes it is because that is not their official title but rather a term made up by the media.
yet more Beck lies  | 9:00 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
On his July 31 episode Glenn Beck invited Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle onto his show to talk about the Consumer Assistance Recycle and Save Act of 2009, more commonly known as the "Cash for Clunkers" program. The program gives consumers vouchers of up to $4,500 dollars in exchange for their old "clunker" cars. The vouchers go toward the purchase of new, more fuel efficient cars. Glenn Beck said that the government will get complete access to your computer and all of your files when you log on to Cars.gov for the Cash for Clunkers program. This claim is false. Beck quoted from a security message on the site for dealers, not the site for the general public.
Rush lie  | 9:01 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
On the June 29 broadcast of his radio program, Rush Limbaugh said that the energy bill would require "environmental experts" to do "a survey" before people can put their homes on the market: where no such provisions in the law.
Hannity  | 9:02 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
hannity gotting caught just a couple of days ago in a lie and for showing false footage on his show.
@redshirt  | 9:10 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009

Preying on the weak | 9:23 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
I talked with a man the other day who was surpised to hear that Chrysler was NOT owned by the government. It was news to him that the Italian company Fiat had purchased Chrysler.

Why didn't he know this?

Because he listened to Fox News tell him about Obama being a socialist as "evidenced" by the government taking over all the car companies.

You have a conservative message? Fantastic! But it is cruelty to prey on the weak minded who cannot discern fact from exaggeration.

Your right leg shorten up on you again? Cause you just can't seem to decide whether or not you're down the middle or leaning far right. Didn't you say you're an Independent? The segment is called Worst person in the World. All of Countdown is tongue in cheek

When Michael Musto or Joel McHale comment about the #1 story which is usually about a Celebrity doing something stupid then you know Sarcam abounds.

I wonder? Is it because KO hates Am Idol and the Beckster loves it that all the love for Glenny and animosity for Keith exists?

"Use the 'off' button."
This may be true, but to the befuddled and easily manipulated, angst-filled and insulting rhetoric on the airwaves has presented a brand new type of addiction.
And with any addiction, psychological problems are sure to follow.
RedShirt | 9:42 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
To "beck lie | 9:00 a.m. " that is the "biggest" lie you could come up with, quoting a wrong number. If that is so aweful, you must really hate that big liar Obama. Afterall, he visited 58 states, but skipped out on Alaska and Hawaii. So, Obama thinks there are 60 states total. Last I checked there were only 50 states.

Plus you should actually read what Beck says about his list. He says "Since czar isn't an official job title, the number is somewhat in the eye of the beholder." So, how do you know that what Beck's definition is of a czar is the same as the person that says that there are were 35 czars under Bush. If you read the factcheck article on this, they admit that Beck's method of counting a czar is different than the media's method.
Lost in Utah | 10:00 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
I heard Hannity say a few months ago that this is a Christian Nation.

If it were a Christian nation there would be poor people but no one would go to bed hungry or die from hunger.

If it were a Christan Nation there would be poor people but no one would be sleeping in the streets and there would be no homeless people in this "Christian nation"

There would be no one dying because they don't have health care.

That is the biggest lie that one of the afore mentioned jerks have ever told "this is a Christian nation"

Hannity also once said that homeless people choose to be homeless.

Another big lie.
ron holdaway | 10:06 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Isn't it odd how we dislike other's prejudices but are perfectly happy with our own? Probably don't even notice them. Moyers and Rather are journalists who use their platforms to sell a left wing point of view. Bravo to them. It's their right to do so and I respect that right. But they shouldn't pretend to neutral analysis. I tried to keep out any big words this time.
Hypocrisy | 10:49 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
LOL!

The nutcakes from the right are becoming more and more desperate. Instead of defending their outrageous propaganda, they tell people to just use the OFF button.

Funny, Dale wasn't telling anyone what to do. He was merely just stating the facts that the nutcakes seem to admit now. That their media is a desperate, lying, deceiving, and full of entertainers.

If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, it probably is.

If this were a christian nation, we would spend more feeding the poor than in building and dropping bombs on Bagdad.
@RedShirt | 11:38 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009
The "lie" was Beck's whole mischaracterization of Obama's czars, namely they are "unprecedented" in terms of number, oversight, confirmation status etc., that they represent a huge departure from even the previous Pres.

So, you are suggesting Obama is "lying" about how many states there are in the U.S.? Really? Not that he was very visibly tired and just misspoke when he said "50" pause, "7."

Get serious.
RedShirt | 12:15 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
To "re:@ redshirt | 9:26 a.m. | 10:53 a.m. " but I am an independent, because I am not affiliated with any political party. I never said I was a libertarian, but that I have leanings or agree with a lot of what they say. I do know what the definition is of "liberalism" is.

Liberalism: the quality or state of being liberal or you could say such a philosophy that considers government as a crucial instrument for amelioration of social inequities. Or a more simple definition is somebody who believes that the government is the solution to any problem.

To "@redshirt | 9:10 a.m." his book is "Arguing with Idiots" not "talking with idiots". If you are an American you are, to quote the liberal Bill Maher, stupid. So, what is wrong with that? You don't seem to mind being called stupid by a liberal, but if a conservative does it you get offended. Also, since when is calling somebody an_idiot_uncivil?

To "@ redshirt | 9:26 a.m." I hate to break it to you, but an independent is somebody with no political party membership. A conservative is somebody who believes in a small government.
@5:07 | 12:38 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
That is the whole problem! Hannity, Beck and others do not claim to be journalists. They have opinions and they share them. You can listen or you can ignore them.

Olberman, Moyers, Maddow, and Rather, on the other hand, try to deceive their listeners, pretending to be truth-perveying journalists when they in fact are no different that Beck and Hannity.

The sad thing is that so many left-slanted people still cannot differentiate between journalism and opinion.

Utah continues to be known as the reddest state in America.
This is why at the rate it is going, will never amount to anything that resembles any political clout.
A state chock-full of Limbaughites.

re:liars | 1:22 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
HA HA !!!!! Holy cow guy you need to expand you tunnel vision beyond MSNBC!! "Olberman, Moyers, and Rather are actually journalists".. say what??? I'm sorry but you can't find 5 people outside of your far left loons that are married to MSNBC that believe this. The guys that get "tingly feelings up their legs" when listening to Obama aren't exactly what I would call serious journalists. More like moronic cheerleaders. By the way, your MSNBC, ABC and CBS ratings are all in the tank!! Ever wonder why? Because people see through their ridiculous and amateur brand of left wing rant and tune them out. Check out Glenn Beck and Bill O'Riely's ratings in comparison. I guess we are all dumb but you huh??
MSNBC ratings in the tank | 1:32 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
MSNBC ratings are in the tank. Fox News is on top ... by light years ...nation wide. Glenn Beck and Bill OReily are on top of the world ratings wide - which means more people watch and listen to them. Nobody with a brain takes the journalistic left wing cheerleaders on MSNBC serious which is why their ratings are in the tank. NUMBERS DON'T LIE....sorry libs.

==============

Here, I'll post it for us all to see -- not your Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh twisting of the TRUTH...

Liberalism

1 : the quality or state of being liberal
2 a often capitalized : a movement in modern Protestantism emphasizing intellectual liberty and the spiritual and ethical content of Christianity b : a theory in economics emphasizing individual freedom from restraint and usually based on free competition, the self-regulating market, and the gold standard

The "Journalists"

Keith Olbermann, graduated from Cornell with a degree in communications.
Bill Moyers, graduated from U of Texas, degree journalism.
Dan Rather graduated from Sam Houston State Univ. with a degree in journalism.

O'Reilly, MA from Boston College in journalism

Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh--high school grads.

But happiest?
He's gotta be kidding.
Maybe there is a correlation there though, as Utah also leads the nation in anti-depressant abuse.
I guess anti-depressants are supposed to make you feel better - right, RedShirt?

Haven't you figured it out yet that this poor attention-starved fool is just another Right-wing Limbaugh/Beck wannabe?
The way to stick it to these wretchedly angst-filled types is to be even MORE liberal.

"Liberalism: a movement in modern Protestantism emphasizing intellectual liberty and the spiritual and ethical content of Christianity b : a theory in economics emphasizing individual freedom from restraint and usually based on free competition, the self-regulating market, and the gold standard "

HA HA, this is so funny. Get this - "a theory in economics emphasizing individual freedom from restraint and usually based on free competition". How many of you would say that the far left radicals in the White House and congress are all about INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM, RESTRAINT AND FREE COMPETITION??? Bascially, just reverse that statement 180 degrees and you are pretty close to the truth. Obama is all about government control and less freedom, ZERO RESTRAINT SPENDING WISE, and squashing all competition!!!!

by the way you seem to want to change the fact that it was Roosevelt not Maher that he called an idiot.
silence | 9:46 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009

It is not enough that Liberals have the White House, both Houses of Congress, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CNN, NY Times, LA Times, CBS, and on and on. All dissent must be silenced. All opposing voices must be shut down. That is why FOX and talk radio are still under attack.

Anonymous | 10:16 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Silence... the Wight House(or Liberals) isn't trying to stop dissent; they're trying to stop the lies and exaggerations...

To what happened | 10:59 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Live and let live? That's a good one. You mean liberals live let live, with a few exceptions, including those who are:

Protective of the unborn.
Skeptical of Obama's policies.
Opposed to gay marriage.
Against wholesale mandatory lifestyle changes based on global warming theories.
For capitalistic, free-market solutions.
For inviting God back into the public square.
For moving beyond constant racial nit-picking.
Against federal solutions for every problem in society.
Against moral relativism.
For Peace through Strength.
For the idea of America as the light of the world.

So, basically live and let live with fellow liberals, but subject all others to endless ridicule and mockery for their silly, outdated belief system.

Go ahead and come back with your own list of conservative intolerances, they certainly exist, but to say liberals "live and let live" any better than conservatives is laughable at best.
Cindy | 11:23 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Dan Rather a good journalist? I stoped believing him during Viet Nam. Especiall after he didn't tell the whole truth about the famous picture of the VC being shot, that was in the news and papers back then. Even then he was slanted in his reporting.
