CDC: Swine flu has sickened 22 million in 6 months

Where is the hue and cry for 4,000 dead when Katrina was something less that 2,000. Isn't the government just as responsible here as it was held responsible there? I love the double standard of the media. Mum is the word when it pertains to 'Obama Rule".
1. I thought the CDC told doctors and clinics in mid-summer to quit testing for H1N1 and just assume that it is all H1N1. The mortality rates are reported as all flu like symptoms, not specifically H1N1. So how would they have any idea how many have actually been sickened or died from H1N1?
2. CBS News Washington reported that several states actually did testing on suspected H1N1 cases (or in other words, the number reported to the CDC as swine flu) and these were the results:
California - Out of 13,704 specimens, 2% actual H1N1
Georgia - Out of 3,117 specimens, 2% actual H1N1
Florida - Out of 8,853 specimens, 17% actual H1N1
Hard to have a pandemic without some serious numbers. So I guess it's okay to just manufacture them?
And, since PRIVATE INDUSTRY is responsible for manufacturing the vaccine, the lines are actually a better indication of WHY we need the government involved. (Although, in all fairness, part of the hold-up was making sure it was safe, but if you think safe-guards are a problem - well, that is a whole different issue.)
@How Do They Know: You'd think by now you'd know that "pandemic" means that the flu is global, meaning it has met the criteria of covering the globe. I know you think that America is all there is on Earth, but there's other countries out there. It amazes me how people throw out words of misinformation without even knowing their meaning.
