14 People died last thursday. 1 of the Women was with Child.

31 peoples lives where directly changed for ever, some more then others. Some will never recover.

600 people saw directly what went on to include some in the Room that where not shot. Some where just bystanders and wittnesses.

1000's of people knew one or more of the people killed or wounded. This includes my Wife who worked indirctly with one of the people killed years ago in Arizona.

Media exposure wise Millions are affected.

Terrorist Attacks are a Cancer. People know about this man and did nothing. Partly because he is an Officer and Partly because they wanted to be PC.

He is alive today not because the Cop diden't put enough holes in him but because of the Skill the Military has of saving the wounded. Some of the Wounded are alive because of those skills also.

We must not use this as a distraction and allow us to take our minds of what is happening in and to our Nation. This incident is a sick part of a sick larger whole.

I can predict the outcome of the investigations. The democrats will say that it was Bush's fault and the republicans will say it was Obama's fault (some may even reach back into the Clinton presidency). In the end nothing will be done and we will continue to be vulnerable to attack.

Please don't call him a suspect! If your caught at the site shooting and someone has to shoot you to stop you I don't think that's a suspect I call it a murdering terrorist.

Despite the fact that the U.S. Military has gun-free zone's on all bases (and did in Fort Hood) it is a good idea for law abiding citizens to get trained to shoot a firearm and get a concealed carry permit. John Lott, in an article on Fox News web site, makes a point that, thus far, most of the mass murders have taken place in "gun free" zones. With the mentality and history of behavior that violent Islamic terrorists have had with Israel it is extremely probable that Islamics will begin attacks of terror in public markets and places that are NOT gun free zones. Remember, their goal is to simply kill as many Americans (like Isrealis) as they can, knowing that they will die, which by and large they do not care about.

The laws says a person should get a speedy trial and a fair trial.

Someone needs to tell these lawyers a fair trial does not mean the following:

Lawyers have to lie for thier clients
Lawyers have to win the case
Lawyers have to do everything humanly possible to prolong the case.

If the guy is guilty, a fair trial means he goes to jail and the filthy lawyers lose the case.

Are you kidding me? Please tell me you are really kidding! I prefer all military bases be "gun free". There is no room for ANY person other than security forces to be armed with weapons with live ammunition. Many soldiers are scary enough with weapons and live ammo. I know, I am a senior Army NCO. Your logic is understandable but wrong. It would create a more dangerous situation for the security forces then it would help. Hasan could have had a concealed carry permit, he passed the FBI background check to buy the weapons. Now go back and unplug the radio and quit taking Hannity, Ingram, Limbaugh and Savage so seriously.

"Given his status as a patient, I'm troubled by this procedure and that I'm not there. I'm in the dark, and that shouldn't be the case. I am mad."

You're mad? Please. At least you're alive. And so is your client.

What the? He performs poorly, so the problem is simply transferred to someone else? As a former Marine officer, if a junior officer or NCO under my command transferred a problem to someone else, I'd have them standing tall in front of my desk explaining why they couldn't handle the problem. This is extremely poor leadership.

Hasan knew that this would change how Muslims are perceived in the US. It was his way of increasing tension between religions. He personifies evil.

I wish people would stop referring him as "Major". "Major" is a rank of honor and hard work, which this--can I even call him?--human does not deserve.

military bases do not have people running around with loaded guns, and nevert did. And, Hannity, Rush, etc. have more brains than you give crdedit for or even realizes from your prejudice remarks. It is your kind of political correctness that allows this sort of thing to happen. Muslems need to be watched very carefully, and, those of arab descent. Jehad is alive and well, and it is crazy, evil, secretive, and murderous. This guy should be tried and hung. by the way I am a WW2 vet and my son is a Colonel in the army. Not just an NCO.
