Wow...I hope those little boys don't find out that their moms cried because they weren't girls! I can understand wanting one gender over the other, but as my Kindergartener says, "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." Try it.

Poor, poor mother. Feel so sad. Don't you think the child feels/knows/absorbs the personal disappointment from the parent. Grow up or adopt!

I think any boy will have issues if the mom thinks, "what would he look like as a girl?" It makes me wonder if she will encourage more feminine behavior and cause some serious confusion.

I agree that kids aren't pets. They are the future and need lots of nurturing and encouragement. Adults who do not understand this should not be having children!!!

I agree with Seriously? These people will get no compassion from those (such as myself) that have suffered through infertility hell. Shame on them for being so selfish...you have a baby because you want a BABY. They need to be thankful they can have children at all, when there are thousands who suffer terribly because they are denied such blessings. People like this should not have children at all as they have serious issues, the main one being INGRATITUDE.

lots of tales existed on how to tell the child's gender before it was born, and there were still a lot of surprises and disappointments. Don't underestimate the mother's or father's ability to adjust to the "wrong" gender. It just takes a little time.

Christine Lich of Lindenhurst, Ill. should be ashamed of herself! She can't bring herself to shop for clothes for a little girl's birthday party because she just can't look at the outfits? IS SHE SERIOUS?!! There are 1000's of parents in America who are dealing with having their children suffer from birth disorders, birth complications, SIDS, etc and this "mom" is complaining that she has 3 boys and the sight of pretty little dresses make her sad?! Unbelievable!! Christine, you are disgraceful. I hope that when your 3 boys have children, they only have boys! You don't deserve a girl!
