Bye, Bye, Lou! Good riddance.

Tell Lou Dobbs to go to MSNBC if he really wants to do advocacy based reporting. MSNBC makes Fox News look centerist.
Dobbs | 9:49 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
I used to like Lou Dobbs Tonight but his so called "independent" view point gets old quickly. I like the idea of an indepentent who questions the left and the right, but he just doesn't do it for me.

So... What should we set as the over-under date for Lou Dobbs to announce that he is moving on Fox News? 2 weeks sound about right? Any takers?
Anonymous | 10:23 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
"Dobbs announced abruptly Wednesday evening that Wednesday would be his last show on CNN. He said he wanted to pursue more advocacy journalism, a route that was no longer available to him on CNN."

CNN can't stand anyone who criticizes the current administration. so they threw him out.

once again CNN stand for Communist News Network
CNN No Longer Relevant | 10:24 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
With the loss of Lou Dobbs, the only anchor on that cable network left with any objective or professioanl backbone, CNN is no longer relevant or credible. It tries to portray itself as "non-partisan," but that is laughable. From time to time, i'm forced to watch CNN in waiting rooms, in airports, and the bias is totally evident. People aren't stupid. CNN is competing for the shrinking pool of viewers from the political left, which is why Air America went bankrupt and why Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Hannity, and the rest, are gaining viewers and listeners by the tens of thousands every day. And this is why "mainstream" newspapers and magazines are also failing and calling for a bail-out because they refuse to be balanced and professioanl in coverage and keep towing the Secular Progressive lines.

Next on the line........Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly....that would be nice.....Although whenever I need a good laugh and nothing good is on Comedy Central i just tune in to Fox Noise
the Communist News Network | 10:33 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
I guess Lou did not see eye to eye with his "Comrades" at the network.

No worries though "it will be for the greater good".

The Communist News Network (CNN)is such a farce.

I am surprised that he lasted this long.

I get my political commentary from MSNBC. Sure they have an admitted liberal bias, but they don't deliberately distort the truth, and they correct themselves when they make a mistake - something the Rush O'Hannity's of the world never do.
Cya Lou | 1:25 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
I have enjoyed is more indepenant views of late and was a little surprised to see it coming off the same screen with the CNN logo. Doesn't surprise me that they would let him stick around. I think he would be a good fit on FOX.
Good one!  | 7:22 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
"....passionate, nonpartisan reporting that CNN wants for its image." Hahahahahahahaha....oh, wait - they were serious?!? My bad.

Good one!- ""....passionate, nonpartisan reporting that CNN wants for its image." Hahahahahahahaha....oh, wait - they were serious?!? My bad.""

Yeah, that is pretty funny... but it doesn’t even compare to Fox's humorous, “Fair and Balanced"...

CNN middle of the road, When?

The "too intolerant" quote from those that oppose truth really meant that Dobbs didn't agree with them...typical liberal thoughts, Tolerance = Agreement.
Charles | 8:52 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
@7:22 --- Nice one!

@7:49 --- another jealous poor soul who just hates Fox News. Don't let the facts get in the way. Go check the studies and see who is considered by far and away the most balanced news organization. You got it -- Fox!

Tough to eat crow isn't it?
Peoria Realist | 8:59 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Those of you claiming CNN has a liberal bias and FOX News a conservative bias are all wrong.

All cable news shows have an entertainment bias. None of them are serious news outlets any longer and in my opinion shouldn't be considered anything but (typically distasteful and always bad) entertainment. CNN is actually embarrassing and painful to watch anymore. I cringe seeing people subjected to it in airports and other public places. FOX News is no better. We all need to absorb less commentary from commentators who know nothing and have never done or strived to do anything in their lives except comb their hair and elocute.

If you want real news and facts, read a good paper or watch PBS or listen to NPR, then use your brain and form your own opinions. Jim Lehrer is one of the last decent anchors.

Oh Charles, was it Fox News that told you about all those studies that say it is considered the most balanced news organization...
