Great weekend in HS football. I plan on watching all 4A and 5A semifinals, as well as state championships. 4A the clear leaders are MC and Timpview. I think it is Mountain Crest's year. I've heard their QB is as solid as they get. Timpview's big DE is out, a detrimental loss since he could have put a lot of pressure on MC's QB.

I haven't heard much of Dixie and Springville. It'll be nice to see a low radar team be in the state championships. Who knows, maybe one of these two will end up being the state champion. It all comes down to who plays better that day.

Bingham and Alta, or shall I say Alta and Bingham? This is the showdown everyone has been waiting for. This one is as good as a coin flip, nothing is for sure when these two teams play. Personally I am a Davis fan, and I don't think Davis can beat Bingham, but I do think they can beat Alta (that's if they beat Hunter first). I personally have more respect for Bingham than Alta, but for selfish reasons I will be cheering for Alta. I think Bingham is just too much to handle this year though. Great game ahead, look for big plays and big hits.

The game I've been waiting for. Davis vs Hunter. If you like old school football of hard knocks, then this is your game. Hunter is likely the biggest and strongest team in Utah, they are mean and hit hard. Davis is a fundamental team and plays together well. Davis' defense can put up a fight on anyone. Tanner Hinds is an animal and is fun to watch. I think this game will come down to a few big breakout plays.

What a horrible bracket this year for 4a. Springville, WX, Dixie and Bonneville in one and Timpview, Mnt Crest, Highland and Spanish Fork in the other. I would take all four of the second bracket to beat all 4 of the top one any day.
