"However, researchers warned that Utah's conservative leanings may be affecting the state's high rating, explaining that previous studies have indicated that right-leaning individuals tend to seem happier than others."

OK, so if you are happy and live in a conservative area, you are not really happy?
I think we all owe a big thank you to the researchers for that warning.

That's like saying, if you life in southern California, you aren't really warm.

I laughed and laughed at this news. All four of my sisters live in the Wasatch Front area and all four are on steady doses of prozac, aka, Sandy Candy. And yes, they always appear happy if you can cut through their glazed eyes.

Word of Wisdom

Never mind the anti-depressant drugs.

That was the very first line!!!

So, if we do "mind" drug use,
and take that into account --
this entire article becomes a moot point.

Sad.

Happiness is Utah.
Happiness is believing in God.
Happiness is loving your family.

Happiness is an individual thing. It doesn't matter where you live. It matters what you do to make both yourself and others happy. There are many happy people in Utah and sometimes I really miss it there. There are also unhappy people - everywhere!
I believe that happiness comes from following what you know is right and pushing yourself to become the best that you can be - not in letting any society anywhere (every society does this) dictate things to you.
