Who was the last Female to win Entertainer of the Year? You all mentioned it at the start of the story, but didn't follow up.

The definition of "Country" has become so broad recent years that only occasionally is anything resembling real Country Music ever heard. The intrusion of Pop and Rock into the Country genre has turned it into bland and tedious pablum. There really has been a "Death on Music Row."

I'm not sure of the previous Female Entertainer of the Year, but my guess is Reba.

There are a few out there who are "traditional" country. If you have a chance, take a listen to "That Lonesome Song" CD by Jamey Johnson. It will renew your love of country music. It is sad, depressing, but beautifully crafted.

Don't get me wrong... I like Taylor; you could even call me a fan. I just don't understand all the hyperventilating awe she is receiving... At this point she could kick a puppy and people would love her for it.

Taylor S. cannot sing, did you hear both songs she sung last night I felt bad for her parents. She was flat and never hit or even come close to the right tune, sorry taylor you don't have my vote. Its a wonder what the record studio can make them sound like on CD
