SS #1 | 9:39 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
We are going to get San Juan this time around. We are far more prepared and I think this game will not be close. South Summit is the better team as far as the stats and books go. I like our chances. The weather is going to affect San Juan far more than it will South Summit. We run the ball better than San Juan. They rely on their pass too much. Like I said after we loss in Blanding, on a neutral field I pick South Summit. Go wildcats!!

San Juan fan, on the fact that this will be a great game. However, these Wildcats haven't been fed, and they are hungry for the title. Both teams will have to play their best and the title of this article says it all. Get ready for a great game. GO CATS!!!

Your stats are better than San Juans..I think I would rather have the win in the head to head lol. I also know Coach Lee pulls his starters far earlier than most coaches when the game is in hand (Im glad he does BTW) this helps with SJ continued winning year after year. Now Ive only seen SS play once but Ive heard that in your blowout your starter are left in most of the game (dint you guys score with starters on the last play in the 1st Grand game?) this builds your stats. You can have your stats, SJ will be happy with the championship.

why does everyone think that the weather will effect SJ so badly and SS will just roll right through it like its nothing.. if weathers a factor i think it will effect both teams and not just SJ. and SJ doesnt rely just on passing.. where'd that come from? good luck to both teams!

Another fun championship.
Will San Juan pull out the half back pass?
Will they execute the fumbleruskie again?
Each time they've beaten SS in the championship game this past decade it was a trick play up their sleeve. But it worked, and they won.
This should be an excellent game.
It's the Cats turn. Good Luck SS.

wait for the game | 7:02 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
All of you who think one team is better than the other and are talking smack...leave it alone. Both of these teams are very good! Both teams want to win. Both coaches understand turnovers will be the key. Previous opponents, previous scores, etc...all don't matter on Saturday. The team that plays the most consistent will win. Hopefully, both sides will be show good sportsmanship and it will be a hard fought, tough battle. Good luck to both teams, but better luck to the cats! GO CATS!

It is going to be an awesome game. It is hard to beat one team twice in one season and SJ has their work cut out. It will be a stormy game up there and whoever plays the best defense will win this game. I am a SJ fan but I am 51% SS 49% SJ. I would like to see SJ take it, but SS will come to play. Go teams!!!

One of the keys factors of this game will be the travel that San Juan has to do to get to Alta High School. People overlook that aspect of the game. South Summit struggled at San Juan even though the score didn't reflect it but one has to like the Wildcats chances in a rematch.

I hope both teams play hard. I know SJ has hit the weights in the offseason and practiced hard all year to get ready for this game. The time is yours, go out and play hard. D.Y.J.

You are half right. In 1998 we scored two touchdowns no trick plays. In the 2000 championship our scores were on a two yard touchdown run and a 20 yard touchdown pass and we had two field goals making our score 20. We did have a play where we gave it to our reciever and then he ended up throwing it to our qb. That did go for about 30 yards. We didnt score any touchdowns on trick plays in that game. I bet that are some trick plays this weekend though.

If anyone knows how to travel and play good its San Juan. I promise you travel will not be an issue. If South Summit is thinking that will help them then you guys are in for a scare. Plus they will come up friday morning. They will have a practice friday afternoon. They will be fresh and ready to go come saturday 11 am.

San Juan does not rely on the pass. If anything they rely on the run. San Juan has a group of very good running backs, and a running offense. San Juan will win this game. Oh yeah, a neutral field? How far is Kamas from Alta High School? Not far.

well the last time we played you it was a 21 to 7 game going into the fourth quarter but two rare fumbles by san juan and a big pass play that won't happen again allowed SS to score a touchdown and a field goal so i like SJ again by a touchdown

Just hang on the travel issue all you want. If thats the only thing you can find hope that you might eek out a win with then go with it. As for SJ they do this all the time including the two times they beat you in the championship (Im assuming they played up north)We know where we live and still we have won every away game this year. SJ wins this by 14
