So, what percentage of the total cocaine in the US was that, and will it, or even the combined haul by law enforcement have any effect on availability of cocaine? History says no.

astute comment. Let's replace that keen observation or yours with other so called crimes... oh and for good measure throw kids into the mix: Skopa: "So, what percentage of the total (prostitution, DUI, sexual abuse, etc, etc) in the US was that, and will it, or even the combined haul by law enforcement have any effect on availability of (prostitution, DUI, sexual abuse, etc, etc)? History says no".... hmmm, Solution? the law should butt out! Right Skopa?

People in Warren, OH will have a tougher time getting any, prices will remain high, and perhaps the price will convince one kid not to get started.

Worth it, huh.

So what do you do for a living?

Great work officer! Thank-you for your alert policing and for keeping our highways safe.
Thank you UHP! | 8:28 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Keep up the good work.

Glad to get these crooks off the streets.

Hope the feds prosecute them so Utahns don't get stuck paying room and board for this bunch for the next few decades.

Who cares what the total percentage of cocaine that was in the US. These people had three children in a vehicle that was weaving in and out on the road. Two of the children were not even related to the adults in the van! It makes me sick, all the arguments that doing drugs does no harm to others. When it does. It puts the lives of other people in harms way. Who knows what else the two girls were there for. If their own mother let them go so it would appear that they were on a family outing, what else would she let happen to them? Again, it makes me sick. I greatly appreciate the officers doing the "little things" to keep people safe.

Cocaine was $100 to $125 a gram in 1976 and today you can buy about 1.75 grams for $100. The war is working. Only if you are selling arms to drug lords or like having a guaranteed job in law enforcement.

"With consent to search...." Why would anyone consent to a search of their vehicle? Why do people routinely ignore their rights? With consent the officer now doesn't need probable cause to obtain a warrant to search a vehicle. He had some suspicion about the smell in the vehicle, but not enough to get a warrant.

People should always exercise their rights. We are a "dumbed down" nation when it comes to our rights. This is America and will only remain a great country when people understand and actually exercise their rights. That is why we were endowed by the by the Creator - so we could use them. Unfortunately we live in a compliance nation and it seems to be getting worse.
