Trash sells ads better than truth. That's all you need to know.
You're absolutely right  | 2:04 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
But there's one major flaw in your thinking.

Since ALL of Beck's, Limbaugh's, and Hannity's critics rarely, if ever, actually listen to them, what makes you think they know how to listen to you?

You can make all the most reasonable, well-supported, easily-proven, factual comments in the world, but all the unteachable left is going to hear is "blah blah I'm a neocon, blah blah,I'm wealthy, blah I'm conservative, blah, I'm racist, blah, I'm in Utah, blah blah, I'm Mormon.

And then they'll start insulting you along with the great speakers you defend.

KSL needs advertisers to fund its operation, and the trash Limbaugh spews provides those dollars. 'Nuf said.

I would say that most of the detractors of these shows ARE right wing people. People like me that are embarrased at the discourse that is spewed forth from these entertainers. I am absolutly baffled that anyone can take these guys seriously... They are laughing all the way to the bank.

If Mitt Romney makes another run for the Presidency, Glenn Beck will be a dagger in his back.

In answer to your question: Trash.
RedShirt | 8:03 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
To "Trash sells | 6:08 a.m. " you have just proved the letter writer correct. FYI, Limbaugh is on KNRS not KSL. So, if the LDS church unplugged KSL, people would still be able to listen to Limbaugh.

Count me as one liberal who fully supports keeping those three spouting their brand of 'truth' (I use the term loosely). I hope blech gets what he wants, complete destruction of the GOP. He certainly will never get the idiotic idea of utopia he has conjured up in his simple mind, where there are no taxes and everything is bubble gum and fluffy clouds. Where if you cant afford health insurance, you die quietly. The magical wonderland where if you lose your job its because you didnt work hard enough.
Understand that although he has listeners, they are just the same small disenfranchised and increasingly uninformed group that listens to rush et al. Real Americans with brains are not rushing over to their pathetic world view of a commie around every corner and never will.
FYI | 9:11 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Hannity is the only one of the three that is on KSL.

Beck and Limbaugh are broadcast on KNRS.

Just FYI.

Give me the the phone number. Do you honestly think Beck will answer the phone during his show? It is a gimmick. He won't answer it even when not on the phone. It is not an honest debate. As for KSL and the Church, they are self identifying with conservative commentators if they are without having shows on the other side of the spectrum. Is it ideology or money driving the ship?
Ultra Bob | 9:24 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
The people who like the talk radio pundits often sat that we who don’t like the talk radio pundits don’t listen to them.

As I have found, if I listen to any one of them for a few moments, I gather all the information that all of them are talking about. The seem to all be on the same script.

I have to admit, if I listen for more that a few moments, I get so incensed I would like to go out and start a war.

The popularity of scapegoating hate-mongers like Hannity, Beck and Limbaugh proves that fascism is on the rise in America.

Dr. Adrenaline | 11:10 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
There is such a thing as adrenaline junkies.

Adrenaline makes you feel
Alert,
awakened,
attentive,
focuses,
inspired,
and causes you to forget your less pressing and mundane problems,

and after the threat subsides
it laeves on with a sense of calm and euphoria.

Fear causes the body to naturally release adrenaline into the blood to prep and ready the body for Action!

People become addicted to adrenaline.
Extreme sports, sky-diving, dancing, a running or jogging, etc.

Just like a pep-rally, or religous revival they all release adrenaline.

The Nazi's and Hitler in particular mastered this whipping up the masses, winding them into a frenzy, calling people into action, and sending folks home feeling good.

It seems the same thing happens when some listen to AM radios talk shows. They become addicted.

And just like then need their daily fix.
And don't you even dare threaten to take it away!!!

....
Demo Dave | 11:28 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
I get my political commentary from MSNBC. Sure they have an admitted liberal bias, but they don't deliberately distort the truth, and they correct themselves when they make a mistake - something the Rush O'Hannity's of the world never do.

Honest Conservatives should be embarrassed to listen to the hate-mongering lies of Hannity and Company.
re:Bro Chuck's | 10:31 | 11:29 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Whinese....hahaha!

Loved it, thanks!
Hannity  | 11:46 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
So why is ever one avoiding the fact that Hannity was caught showing false footage and lying on his show about last Thursdays protest in DC? He even admited it last night at the very end of his show on fox after his lie was exposed.
RedShirt | 11:47 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
To "Bro Chuck's Rant n Rave's | 10:31 a.m." I am so glad that we have fine upstanding liberals like you out there to show us undeserving conservatives just how loving and accepting you really are.

You have shown me the errors of my ways, based on your simple and love filled post. You should spread your message of love around the world.

FYI, that was purely sarcastic.
RedShirt | 11:50 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
TO "Dr. Adrenaline | 11:10 a.m." but Obama, Pelosi, and Reid all use the same tactic. Did you forget that in February Obama said that every day that the Stimulus bill wasn't passed, it meant that there were thousands of jobs being lost? What about the health care bill that just passed the House. 1900 pages and 2 days to read it, sure sounds like Pelosi and Reid are "whipping up the masses, winding them into a frenzy, calling people into action, and sending folks home feeling good."
RedShirt | 12:07 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
To "Anonymous | 10:57 a.m." who have been scapegoats for Rush, Hannity, and Beck? From what I have seen, if they blame a person for something, usually that person was directly involved in the problem.

Please give some examples of people they have scapegoated. Van Jones is not a scapegoat of Beck's because Beck only used quotes by Van Jones to show that he was not somebody who should be a special advisor.
To "Trash sells | 6:08 a.m." | 1:18 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
For the last time! Limbaugh isn't broadcast on KSL. When are you guys even going to learn even the SMALLEST part of what you are talking about befire you attack someone like KSL or their advertisers?

At least learn what you are talking about before you post.
Re "Demo Dave | 11:28 a.m." | 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Demo Dave | 11:28 a.m.

If you listened to the shows you complain about you would know that they DO correct themselvs when they are wrong. And Beck is probably the best at this.

You have to keep in mind that MOST of what the show is an "Opinion" show (much like this forum). So there is no right or wrong involved... nor a need to appologize for haveing what YOU may consider to be a "wrong" opinion.

They may play some sound/video clips to set the backdrop/groundwork for their comments, but in the commentary they are NOT claiming to be talking gospel fact... just THEIR take on the event they chose to present and discuss that day.

Quit looking to these type of shows (including MSNBC) for facts, truth, gospel, etc. Expect their opinion... and you won't be disapointed.

Beck challenges you to come out on the "Battlefield of ideas". If you can't handle the challenge, just don't show up and listen! But Quit putting down anyone who decides to remain engaged and thinking and exploring and wanting to hear OTHER ideas (even if they are wrong in YOUR mind).
Oh Please | 2:00 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
I listen to Beck every day. I have yet to hear him give a truthful account of any issue he deals with. Debunking Beck takes about 5 seconds on google. And I am absolutely certain that he will never "pick up" his so-called red phone, which doesn't exist. There's no cash in listening to other viewpoints.
To "Oh Please | 2:00 p.m." | 2:31 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Oh Please | 2:00 p.m.

I'm glad you're a dedicated Glen Beck listener.

See... it doesn't hurt to hear another point of view or other opinions... does it?

BTW
I'm going to test to see if YOUR post was true (since you complain about Beck never being able to tell the truth). You said, "I have yet to hear him give a truthful account of any issue". I'm going to listen tonight and see if there is ONE ISSUE he doesn't outright LIE about.

I think I'm going to be able to prove that YOUR posting was not true. That would Sorta make YOUR post hypocritical wouldn't it?

But I think you're right on one thing. That the red phone is just a prop. I honestly don't think it's even plugged in. It's probably not even a real phone! who the heck sells red rotary dial phones now days? AT&T?

I'll let you know if Beck lies about absolutly EVERY topic on his show tomorrow. You may want to listen carefully so you can defend your bogus claim.

My vote is trash.
Like attracts like | 3:52 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Why do they allow those three to broadcast? The answer is obvious. They don't care about truth, just spin.
Anonymous | 4:16 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
As a liberal I could never condone censorship in any form.
Let the trash-talking Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity alienate moderate America all they want.
One mans trash.... | 4:18 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
One mans trash is another mans treasure as the ole saying goes. To liberals - Beck talks trash. To conservatives - Beck is an articulate prophet. Here's a challenge to ole Ike and the rest of far left loons - WATCH BECK FOR A WEEK THEN DECIDE ....that is if you dare.

Warning: Your faith in your great community organizer president just might be shaken to the core along with his side kicks of Pelosi and company.

Most liberals remind me of 17 year old rock star groupie. The air head blonde setting on the front row worshiping the piece of trash rocker on stage. GET A CLUE LIBERALS!!!!! BECK is RED HOT ratings wise nation wide and he has Barack, Nancy, Harry and the rest of the socialists on the run!!!!

"Since ALL of Beck's, Limbaugh's, and Hannity's critics rarely, if ever, actually listen to them, what makes you think they know how to listen to you?"

More conservative lies. I'm from Sacramento. I listened to Rush before most of you did here on KFBK.

I stopped, because I consider being lied to, insulting.

I'm a veteran, gun owner and I wish Bush hadn't squadedd money on the war in Iraq lying about the cost, by keeping it off the books.
can't stand the pukes | 4:46 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Ever since Rush Limbaugh was caught flopping around on tv mimicking Michael J. Fox's incurable disease (because Fox is liberal) while his loyal followers laugh and guffaw, I despise everything the modern American conservative movement stands for.
Ultra Bob  | 4:48 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
To One mans trash.... | 4:18 p.m.

For sensible human beings, asking them to watch Beck or a week then decide is like asking them to eat rotten potatoes for a week to find out if they like them or not.
