I am normally very pro death penalty, Ronnie Lee Gardner being the poster boy for and all.

This guy, while he richly deserves the death penalty, would be better off with life with no parole in the Super Max facility outside of Colorado Springs. Then he would have years to think about and stew about what he has done. I think it would be far more "cruel and unusual", for him, to sentance him to life and let him die in prison. I for one would also be in favor of 24 hour lock down for this guy. Don't give him a Koran or prayer rug. That would make him suffer.

His actions are clearly pre-meditated murder--multiple murders. And as an active duty soldier, I'd say one could make a good case for treason--aiding and abetting (incite, encourage, or assist) the enemy.
So I'd say he should be executed--speedily.
