When Does Boozer Get Go?
The Jazz have a disease | 12:34 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
They are deficient in several major areas and fixing those problems will fix most of their road, back to back and other problems.

1. Ever since they lost Fish they have not had the back up PG who could play with DWill which created a potent 2 guard who could shoot outside, drive and play D. They have tried to get by on the cheap.

2. They have 2 PFs who are too short and can't handle tall athletic line ups and zones. Boozer is not a good defensive player and Millsap fouls a lot and has disappeared lately.

3. The wings can't shoot. They do not have enough 3 point shooters (Okur and DWill are the wrong positions)and they do not design plays for the 3 and under use the 3 as a weapon.

4. Their poor perimeter defense overloads their worse interior defense.

FO/Sloan have known about these problems for 3 years and have insisted nothing be done to fix them.

The Jazz have a disease called continuity. It is the delusional belief that one more year will magically fix the problems.

How about getting players with the right capability?
This sounds nuts  | 12:41 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
but it may be worth a try. Start Maynor a PG and AK at 2, move Brewer to 3.

If the Celts zone, depending on how Boozer is playing, move Okur to 4 to try to bust the zone and play Fez at 5.

If all else fail make some 3 point plays for Mathews and AK.

Just a few ideas. I am more worried on defense than anything. I think Rondo will post Maynor all night long if DWill can't play.

Maynor's 1st start? | 12:55 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
That would be a fun storyline, especially against the Boston Celtics.

I hope it happens.

@this sounds nuts: AK shots well one game and now he is a 3 point threat?
JAZZ?? | 1:36 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
It won't matter..Even with Dwill the Jazz were going to get beat. They have serious internal issues..
D-Will, please... | 1:42 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
Please, please, please don't start D-Will?

With or without him, we are most likely going to lose this game to the Celtics. Why risk further injury to our #1 player?

Start Maynor. Use Maynor, AK, Brewer, and Mathews as the guards. Don't try to do anything stupid. We don't need D-Will to become the next Grant Hill.

Hey after us getting beat at home by a 7 man golden state team, maybe we can turn the tables and beat the celtics on there floor with 9? All kidding aside, this is the kind of jumpstart win that would help the jazz greatly. Kind of like the oregon state game for the utes last year. I feel like we los alot of that confidence in that triple overtime lose to miami last year.

I agree, I think that DWill should rest and recoop for now. It is only the beginning of the season and we need him desperately for the remainder of the year. Give the new kids their baptism by fire now so they, as well, can be ready for the rest of the season. I wonder where all of this bad Jazz karma came from????

Go Jazzboys!!!

"They do not have enough 3 point shooters (Okur and DWill are the wrong positions)and they do not design plays for the 3 and under use the 3 as a weapon. "

All you people who think you can't win with a center who shoots threes either listen to Gunther on 1280, have short memories, or are 12 years old.

Detroit won two titles with a scoring point guard who shot the three, Isaiah Thomas, and an undersized center, Bill Lambier, who couldn't jump but could shoot the three, rebound and was happy to put a body on people. This while their two guard, Joe Dumars, shot less had less than one three-point attempt per game. All this with an under-sized forward -- Dennis Rodman.

Less you think the NBA was less athletic then, that Detroit team and the Celtics kept Michael Jordan from making it to the finals his first six years in the league.

Stupid move....... | 5:43 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
Why risk further injury?? Sit his butt down, if you lose, you lose big deal!! Look at the big picture!

He's able to play thanks to the help of the chiropractor. John Stockton always attributed his longevity to the team chiropractor so I am glad that D-will is using the same common sense.
