This guy was NOT a nice man who "snapped". He was an Islamic Extremist. A TERRORIST who murdered 13 of our loyal AMERICAN soldiers in cold blood. A coward who killed 13 unarmed AMERICANS, who were willing to fight for freedom around the world. This TERRORIST must be given a fair trial, because this is America and that is the law, and if found guilty, quickly and immediately executed. No excuses, no stupid stories about the stress of deployment. The President and White House and the rest of the "progressive govt reps" need to call this what it is: Another TERRORIST Event on our own soil. Another 9-11, albiet on a somewhat smaller scale, but a despicable TERRORIST event just the same.

Why did you delete my comments? They were niether abusive, offensive, off-topic or misrepresentative. Just my own opinion. Why would you delete that? Is there in fact a free speech problem in America? I can see perhaps some problems with that in Washington, but who would have thought our ideas are not open for discussion here in Utah. Sad!!!

The US Department of Justice has proven once again that they are the most incompetent people in public service. The funny thing is, these folks that said Hasan was no threat are probably GS-14's or 15's.

NCOs and Petty Officers run this nation's military. Officers only mess it up.

Wow. Your long-distance analysis skills are amazing.

You may be right. You may be wrong. Luckily in America we can't jump to conclusions on an internet posting and have it be a done deal.

By the way, I see both your postings. Impatient with seeing your postings in light, impatient with bringing someone to justice.

who easily recognized the shooter's motives. But, as he says, in our attempt to be fair and multi-cultural, the military has not been allowed to act sensibly to protect our soldiers from this sort of tragedy.
Had Hassan been separated from the military, as his record certainly shows he should have been, government officials and the press would have been screaming all over the place that he was being unfairly treated.
What is to stop other jihadists from joining our military in order to perpetuate more of these terrible things? After all, it is happening all over the world. And always, it is the innocent who suffer and are killed.
Our soldiers cannot function if they have to watch their comrades beside them as well as the enemy.

Mr. ALA has joined those who confuse the right of free speech, which means government will not prosecute people for things they SAY or WRITE, with the "right" to force someone else to publish their words at no charge to the writer, a "right" which doesn't exist.
