Coach Colosimo sounds like he has it figured out as long as he is focused on Mike Davis they have this game won the other Davis does have good feet but thats because of all the pressre he gets and I am sure he will get more Thursday which will keep the ball out of the hands of Nielson and make him keep his passing percent under 50%, if Wasatch's DEFENSE doesn't do their job this game will be a blow out and JD will score more points than they have scored on anyone this year, this is Wasatch's BIG problem!
My Score prediction: JD 36 Wasatch 14 and thats giving Wasatch's D some credit.

Agreed. Wasatch is fairly weak on the defensive side of the ball. After getting up 21 to nothing on Bear River last week they let up and allowed BR to get back in the game.

This is very ironic since Wasatch has historically been a much better defensive team than offensive. I think the switch to the spread offense has ceratainly paid off this season, but I always get worried about the toughness of a team when they go away from a smash mouth approach.

Should still be an interesting match-up tomorrow. Wasatch can score points on anyone, but the questions is whether the defense can slow down JD enough to win.

JD is "that good" or they wouldn't be in the game. I assume Wasatch is also good. High school football many times comes down to turnovers and momentum. When the ball bounces in your favor like it did for JD is the second half of the PC game, JD rolls. When it goes against you, like in Idaho, it gets ugly.

It looks like the weather will be a factor, Tana and Lars will put up 300 yards combined rushing with kick and punt returns. Davis will get pressure from Dan, Trevor, and Taylor like he has never seen before.

Its not Wasatch's defense thats the problem. Its there special team. It was the special teams that gave up most of the points towards bear river or gave them great field position to score. It even cost them against Westlake. If Wasatch improves their special team, then it'll be a battle. if not then JD will blow Wasatch out. Otherwise, Wasatch has a great defense.

I wouldn't say that Wasatch has a "great defense." At best they are so-so. Sure, special teams has given up a number of touchdowns this season...but if you look at any of the semi-quality opponents they've played, with the exception of Desert Hills, the defense has been suspect. They looked slow against Park City and even let Bear River do whatever they wanted in the second half last week. I think the point is that unless the defense dramatically improves from what they showed last week it could be a long day for Wasatch tomorrow.

Juan Diego wins this game by 4 touchdowns. Wasatch just does not have the athletes nor the speed on defense to stop the JD run attack. I would assume Wasatch will stack the box to try and stop the run. Juab showed everyone why that does not work against JD. You pack the box and they will throw over the top of you.

All Wasatch players live in the Heber Valley. None of them are pulled from other areas so that they can make up a great football team. (I mean to get a good education!)

I agree that the defense has struggled at times. I am concerned about the run game of JD. Wasatch's "D" struggled to tackle opposing runningbacks last week. Wasatch clearly is the underdog but i feel good about our chances, should be a good game.
