Listening to General Casey and other apologists, it is clear that their positions of power and leadership has given them a very pragmatic (and evil) point of view. A few soldiers lost here or there, what's the difference, in the name of the greater good. This is the point where all lose heart in the battle for good. We are just expendable little cogs to the elitists.

To me this incident tells me we are gradually sliding back into our comfort zone and our blissfull state of non-vigilance we enjoyed BEFORE 9/11.

We think we are secure (obviously we aren't).
We think we are invincible (I assure you we aren't).
We think now everybody likes us because we have Obama now (obviously they don't).
We think there are no bad-guys out there anymore, they only exist in Iraq/Afganistan (obviously not).

We need to remain vigilant.

Tolerance is a good thing, but obviously people close to this guy were OVER-tolerant in this case, not wanting to offend this guy or his religion or his anti-war, sometimes anti-American views.

We can't expect the government or the military to know and take care of everything.

Before "putting the cart before the horse" here, America needs the Question's, before the answer's, that's common sense, so was this Distributed by McClatchy-Tribune Information Services ?. NOPE. Why not?.

It's a wonder this kind of thing hasn't happened more often.

The US military has done an excellent job.

Joe Q. Public needs to understand the size and complexity of the military organization itself,
and then add in the extraordinary tasks they perform on a daily basis.

Is it perfect, no.
Is it better than the general public - a thousand times over, heck yes!

God bless our men and women, no matter where they serve.

Heads need to roll for this tragedy. Starting with those people who failed in their jobs;i.e., Cia Dir. Panetta; Atty Gen.Halder;FBI Dir. Mueller; and Homeland Security Dir. Napolitano

First of all- our intelligence services (CIA/NSA) and the FBI deserve credit for the terrorist attacks that they HAVE foiled. However- we know that the terror cell that perpetrated the 9/11 attacks was identified by the Special Forces in operation able-danger. Because of political correctness or fear of angering the Saudis they were allowed to carry on (of course they didn't know the exact plan this cell had)
We've got a big problem in this Country when we're afraid to call out potential terrorists and I fear for our future

Whoa tigers, Le's put the monkey on the right back. Where is our Commander & Chief when it comes to leading our troops in honesty & American backers of the Constitution? Where is his birth record & why did Congress permit him to be sworn in without it? PUT IT WHERE IT BELONGS!!!!!
Thank you, "IF" you post it.

Quite a stretch there, Bill Sr. - Beck and Hannity would be proud.
