Yes great hope that my son while he is going through collage and gets married won’t be able to afford school and insurance both so will look forward to a $25.000 fine or possible jail time.
If you had ever read the constitution or the words of the founding fathers you would know that they are turning in their graves right now. Big government is the last thing they wanted. What talents do you think are being hid? In a socialist government the incentive to achieve is diminished. Why do you think we have been the leading nation for so long. Because only in a free society do people get the chance and have the incentive to try…to take risks.
What are you people thinking?

Chris, you are simply wrong!

Would our founding fathers also move to give away access to ipods, cars, and indoor plumbing as a right to those who do not earn it for themselves?

I don't think so.

Our government, at your approval, is forcing slavery upon the producers of our nation.

Healthcare is a PRODUCT that someone has to produce. These people have to be paid. The pay should come from the person who consumes the product.

Anything else is theft and slavery!

The AMA and AArP are not representative of "their" constituents. The AMA only represents 15% of doctors and most oppose the bill that passed the house. Keep you head in the sand and listen to what is fed you. That way you can live a happy life without all the stress of reality. Dig a little and you will find the truth. The bill takes all our freedom for what? We can do better in terms of healthcare, but we don't need a government takeover.

Chris, do you have any idea what this bill will do to our country? Do you also know this will not cover all Americans? Wasn't the purpose to cover all yet after over a trillion dollars it does not cover all.

Do you know how close we are to going broke? Do you know how much of our checks go to taxes already? Do you know how much worse that will be after this is passed? Or is all you care about the feel good idea of giving everybody everything?

We can not afford this. What will be next paying for houses for the poor? It would be nice if we could cover everybody, but we can't.

I would like to know details of why you were denied coverage if you really were. There has to be a reason or more to the story.

Wake up people we are about to go bankrupt as a country.

Once again a logically impaired liberal. If you think ObamaCare will work, just look at the DMV, Post Office, Medicare, Cash for Clunkers, Airport Security, ... Need I go on.

This bill is NOT about health care. It's about taking away our freedoms.

Thank you, Simply Wrong (5:40 am). Your phrase, "Healthcare is a PRODUCT that someone has to produce" is the most concise and glaringly obvious statement to convey truth that I have seen for a long time.

The ability to state the obvious is truly a mark of genius.

People do not, and indeed can not, have a right to work-product.

Oh. I forgot the Stimulus Bill. Now we are at over 10% unemployment. How did I forget that?

This approach to health care financing is wrong. It does not control costs, just pushes cost onto future generations through all the debt it will create.

Does health care financing need fixing? Yes. But this bill is like adding anti-freeze to your water if it tastes bad — your water will taste sweeter, but it will kill you.

It’s also like throwing any liquid you can onto a fire, just because the liquid is there — it doesn’t matter that the liquid is gasoline.

Kill the bill! We can do better.

"We can do better."

Well, apparently we can't. The only better solution is single-payer and that's a political impossibility due to the corporate influence on our government.

. . . get behind the AMA and AARP! Two organizations more heavily co-opted by socialists than the Venezuelan Communist Party.

If the AMA and AARP are for it, you can bet your bottom dollar it's bad for the United States.
