Polynesian Cultural Center called a 'flop that flipped'

I commented about the church's purchase of land in Maricopa Arizona. Arizonans certainly consider it a boondoggle project. The church paid over twice the value of the property--$37,000 an acre for 1900 acres. Part of the land was owned by Fulton Builders. Any questions?

All about money and business. I think it should be important when advertising this at tourist hotels and the such it should be honestly disclosed as a mormon business. I was disappointed to take the long bus ride out and then it came to light. There should be some truth in advertising here.

Everyone knows it's an LDS owned venture, anyone who does not simply is playing innocent, it's on LDS land next to an LDS school and an LDS temple staffed by LDS missionaries and LDS performers. However it has always been a self run organization with influences from the LDS church just like Deseret News and many other LDS owned businesses.

My wife and I wend and it was the best entertainment venue we went to on a 9 day trip to the islands. Most all of the other things we did were too touristy and commercial and or were often to sexually provocative. The PCC was everything we wanted and nothing we did not.

I have taken my family there twice. It was okay, but I hesitate to recommend it to anyone with children under 14. There are just too many other things for them to do which they will enjoy much more.
