How many more apple trucks have to go over the edge and kill someone before udot makes some kind of changes to this very dangerous curve and bridge?

comment. Soon enough the apple harvest will be over and those horrible "apple trucks" will go back to hauling something else; problem solved.

Problem solved? This is what the third or forth truck over the last 10 to 15 years that has rolled over on this curve? One truck if I remember right went over the edge of the bridge and shut down traffic on I-15. And all have been apple trucks.
And something should be done before another life is lost!

Gosh, you're a heartless bunch | 10:41 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
The driver is unhurt physically, but lost his wife and unborn child. Who knows for sure what caused the accident, but it IS for sure that someone should say something compassionate here. I hope and pray that the driver will be comforted and that if this curve is so dangerous that signs will be posted to relly bring that message home. Like at Red Narrows where a driver lost his life and where an explosion took out a chunk of the highway just a few years ago. There should really be monuments posted at these places to record the incidents and the lives lost. Maybe drivers would pay more attention if they saw a sign stating how many lives were lost at a certain curve or how many accidents had occured there.

Loss of control on a on ramp is a typical air suspended heavy vehicle accident signature especially when hauling high centre of gravity loads such as produce. Drivers should be educated to the near chaotic behaviour of these suspensions. Most likely the on ramp was a long sweeping ramp and that the prime mover was fitted with one ride height control valve (in this case on the drivers side). Furthermore it is most likely the drive suspension was a trailing arm type.

Road Authorities, Highway Patrol Officers and Accident Investigations must become aware that air suspensions are causal contributions to heavy vehicle rollovers. Totally horrid outcome unnecessary death of the drivers wife and unborn child. When is the US public going to get grips on the real killers.

I knew Martha and the paper has it wrong, this was not her husband and yes this is a tragedy for her family. We need to remember Martha as an individual who was kind and never hurt anyone.
