This is an interesting article. I have researched probiotics and found Red Mango frozen yogurt contains a patented strain of probiotics called Ganeden BC 30. There product is great and it tastes great too. I researched the health benefits of it and it was really eye opening. I am a fan now!

Commercial yogurt, other than the plain type (but still be careful and read labels) is definitely NOT worth the added cost. Most are full of high fructose corn syrup, modified corn starch, sugars, molasses, you name it! Just as the article states, sometimes our bodies get too much bacterial imbalance and that leads to digestive problems. The 'bad' bacteria feed off these extra sugars and carbohydrates and causes gut problems. Adding these artificial products to yogurt negates the effectiveness of any probiotic in the yogurt. Making your own yogurt at home is a sure way to get the proper amount of probiotic and limit the processed foods that you ingest. I make two quarts at a time for about $3.

thanks for trying to explain something complicated in a way that most people can understand. And to UC, wouldn't the "good" bacteria feed off of the sugars and carbohydrates the same way the "Bad" bacteria do?
