Number of votes for Millsap 0

Conspicuously absent from the ballot is AK 47 who has gone from an up-and-comer to an 18 million dollar has been. Nice to finally see him hit some outside shots against NY. Wish he could have developed that part of his game. His blocks are also way down from what he used to show. He, like the Jazz in general, are disappointing.

Keep Williams and Okur and try to trade the rest. Opps, no one wants anyone else.

Millsap an All-Star? Wow, that's almost laughable...
no way | 12:26 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
d-will should not be an all-star because he plays no defense, walks the ball up the court, and plays quite selfishly at times-its like he doesn't want anyone to score more than himself
boozer won't make it because of his antics this summer
milsap won't make it because he isn't playing well and frankly for him to be nominated and ak not to be is an insult
memo won't go because he is not a true center

That is how they do things... Yeah... stupid... what really kills me is Tracy Mcgrady in on the list when he hasn't even played! Same with Blake Griffin! I really wish they would wait until the end of the season for the All Star Game. Although I absolutely love the NBA, the NFL gets the nod for this...
I think Fess is the only one I.. | 12:52 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
..would vote for! Maybe Mathis!

It would not not surprise me if DeRon Williams(Torrey Ellis) never makes an all star team. I can think of at least 8-10 PG's in the league that are better than him! Milsap's Uncle should be the MVP in the Agents All Star Game!
Jazz man 98 | 2:13 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
HAHA D Will plays selfishly? He had 6pts and 16 assits vs. the knicks, and hes second in the league in assists. That is the definition of selfish.

D Will should make it. He should back up Nash if nash keeps this up. Maybe memo could get a backup spot.

Its a crime D Will hasnt made it yet.
jazz man 98 | 2:16 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
By the way, who are the 10 better PG's. I can only think of 2 that even have a chance. Paul and Nash. Rose and Rondo are decent but not in the elite class, mostly because they are poor jumpshooters. At worst he is the 3rd best in the League. How is that not an all star berth? Oh ya, cause nobody cares about little utah.
Real All-Star | 2:20 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
The best all star who never made the ballot was a man named Greg Ostertag. The guy donated a kidney, that alone should make him an all star regardless of talent. Even if we were going by talent and numbers the guy should have been All-NBA in every season he participated in
idiots | 2:27 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
Dwill should be an all star. He is a winner, and his numbers are great. At times he needs to be more selfish because his teamates aren't doing anything. He will be an all star this year. And I want that moron to list the 8-10 better point guards than D-will.
Anonymous | 2:36 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
I vote for Stockton.
Re: Everyone | 2:38 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
Deron Williams is amazing. If you all really think DWil is not the best or at least a top 3 pt guard you are nutzo. By the way, who looks better right now, the Jazz or the Hornets? Tough call.
Currently | 2:44 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
I seriously doubt if any of the above make it to the allstar team this year.

To bad for Deron but their are several points in the west who are playing better than he is. Their teams are doing better than D Wills team too.
Idiots | 3:03 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
The experts list Deron among the top 3 point guards in the league. He dominates Chris Paul when they meet. Right now Steve Nash is eneergized, but that may not last. I agree with JRS. It is stupid to have some of these people on the ballot. In fact, players from small venues don't get the votes for the obvious reasons, so either choose a real all-star game or forget about it.
plyxply | 3:07 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
come on why isn't AK on the ballot? He looks better this year than I can ever remember, his shot looks smooth, he's hustling always, and is going to have a good year and I'm going to vote for him at least 27 times this year.
Southern Utah D Will Fan | 3:28 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
I'm surprised people are hating on D Will! He's the only legitimate ball player we have on the floor night in and night out! Besides maybe CP3, there isn't a single NBA analyst who would put another point guard above D Will in any ranking. If I have a one criticism of him this year it is that he isn't pushing the ball up the court and creating fast-break offense. Even when the Jazz are leading in a game it is excruciating watching the shot clock get down in the single digits and then watching AK or Brewer or even D Will throw up a prayer to beat the buzzer. That's poor basketball and D Will and Sloan should be held accountable for our lack of fast break points...
LT | 3:40 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
I love Millsap, but AK should be on the ballot instead.
Re: Batman | 3:49 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
Couldn't agree with you more. Said it perfectly.
millsap | 3:59 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
how can you honestly say that millsap is not an all star? he plays tough every minute he is on the court, which is more than we can say about boozer! millsap should find himself in the starting rotation here real soon
Frankly DWill | 4:01 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
has played very well given the circumstances. He has no shooting wings so some nights he has tried to shoot to break up the inside paint pack. Some nights he assists because he is not open to shoot.

He sometimes walks the ball up because he is banged up or he has played to many minutes and has to save himself for the last 2 minutes. The back up PGs just are not that good yet.

DWill is not superman but he does try the best that he can to get as much as he can from this team given it's limitations.

Face it, the Jazz are deficient in certain areas.
1. wings who can't shoot.
2. lack of depth at guard/SF
3. weak back up PGs
4. Poor overall defense
5. A coach and plays sets that insist on inside play when the paint is packed.
6. No play sets for outside shooting. All outside shooting is improvised by DWill/others from broken plays.
7. Overall a very short bench.

The Jazz need to make a lot of changes. Almost all of their players are specialist who lack a complete game.
Based on his effort and play | 4:02 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
I think a case can be made for Okur. DWill is doing well with a very difficult situation and is a no brainer.
Boozer has found his game | 4:03 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
in the last couple of games but he needs to play well in a lot more before it is clear he is back to all star form.
The Truth | 4:10 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
Paul is probably on the ballot based upon what he did when Booz was out. I'd still be curious to see what would happen if Paul started a couple of games. I thought AK would have a monster game because of NY's style. I have been saying for awhile that AK should play in a system like Phoenix runs. Let's trade Booz and Milsap (even though, I believe league rules say Paul can't be traded right now) for a legit 2 guard (Jackson) and a back up center. Fire Sloan, hire Hornacek and have him run an offense similar to Phoenix's. Instead of D-will walking the ball, turn him into a Nash prototype, CJ at the two, Korver at the 3, and Memo at center. You'd have some interior defense with AK and watch Memo trail on the fast break at the three point line. It sure would beat the crap we are watching right now? Instead of the defense which we obviously can't play, we would try to run teams to death and bomb threes. Attendance would improve and free agents might want to come here. Memo to Greg...

Nobody on the Jazz will make the All-Star team

West PGs
1.Steve Nash - his stats are WAY up and is playing like his MVP self again
2. Chris Paul - he is CP#. Enough said. Best and most popular OG in the NBA.
3. Chauncey Billups - his team's record is what will get him in. Denver will be the #2 team in the west when the all-star game rolls around.

Deron Williams will be left out this year, again. Ha! His team's record will be what keeps him out.

The PFs will be:
1. LaMarcus Aldridge (1st time)
2. Amare Stoudemire (on the 3rd best team in the west)
3. Dirk Nowitzki (He will start)

Boozer and Millsap will not make it. The are not that good and Boozer might be in the East anyways when the all-star weekend comes.

The Centers will be:
1. Al Jefferson (first time)
2. Tim Duncan
HERE IS IT (The Nugget fan) | 4:54 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
For everyone that was wondering, here are the top Point Guards in the West so far this season; in order:

1. Chris Paul - duh
2. Steve Nash - his MVP self, again
3. Tony Parker
4. Chauncey Billups
5. Ty Lawson
6. Andre Miller
7. Tyrke Evans
8. Steve Blake
9. Jonny Flynn
10. Deron Williams - with him being here, he'll obviously not make it, haha, his team's record won't help him at all either. Haha
11. Jason Kidd
12. Aaron Brooks
Rumor? AK to the Nets | 5:22 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
The Russians are buying the Nets and AK has been talking to the new owners. Speculation is that AK will be traded to the Nets as they have tons of money and will want the Russian star for Russian purposes.

Who does NJ have that we want?
Re: HERE IS IT (The Nugget fan) | 6:11 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
WOOOOOOOOOOW! You actually listed 3 rookie point guards ahead of D-Will. Wooooow! Cleary you do not watch basketball.
Re: OSTERTAG  | 6:42 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
HA HA Thats a joke right? Sorry to say but i dont even know how he made it to the NBA
D Will | 8:03 p.m. Nov. 11, 2009
Utah Fans need to start stuffing the ballot boxes... I know the West is loaded with high marketed point guards but I would take D Will over Tony Parker, Chris Paul and Steve Nash and I am a Bulls Fan. D Will might not get the hype the other guys get but he is more than deserving not only to make the team but also start. He is a solid 20 and 10 guy and he plays night in and night out with less talent. The Jazz are the most non athletic team in the West and yet he finds a way to make others better. Mark my words, he will have a better career than Chris Paul when it is all said and done!
