BYU football notebook: Lobo land like home for Cougar lineman

Don't worry, we're glad to head to the Las Vegas Bowl again, it's better than where you are headed.
Agree with resting the injured. BYU doesn't need to do anything more than win this game.
As much as Utah likes to think there new found muscle and status warrants a reasonable chance against TCU I'm afraid they too will fall. I believe that TCU is far the better team- if not the best Mountain West team in five years. Great defense and an emerging offense will beat a decent defense and a mediocre offense. Kudos to Utah, BYU and TCU for building the Mountain West.
They've been to 5 bowl games in the last decade, now fallen to this mess.
It shows how quickly a bad coach can make a program fall apart.

It all started with the injury Donovan Porterie. New Mexico was a pretty solid team all around and after his injury they had a difficult time utilizing a decent passing game. They had a solid running game with Rodney Ferguson who I think was the best back in the conference at the time. The defense was still solid enough to keep them in games but they started failing to get it done.
Now they have no defense and look more like Tulane than anything.
