Good luck C.J. | 12:35 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Boy we could sure use your outside shooting and newly aquired maturity right now. Get back soon.
Jazz Cop | 1:13 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Go Jazz!
The Truth @ Miles | 2:16 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Soon we will see if CJ is as good as you think he is?? I'm not sure he would make a big difference based upon the poor team defense so far this year.

It's the Jazz coaching and play.
STEVE-O | 4:09 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Put it back on!!! This only means less time for Wes Matthews to develop. Dang!
Dreamer | 5:00 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Matthews can get his time as a back up...We need C.J. and Korver back!
todd to steve o | 5:15 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
hee hee

thats funny!

Dude thats classic....I agree that gives "Jer" a chance to make Wes 11th man again!

This is good news for Miles-Miles maybe you can get some homeopathic remedies for CJ so you can get him back in time for Boston.

Jazz purists thought "CJ" would answer every problem the Jazz have as he can play 5 positions without the need of 4 other teammates
RE: The Truth | 5:20 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Jazz couldn't do any worse.
Wes M. | 5:38 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
I'm better than those two bums ever thought of being, and far less expensive too.
Miles | 5:52 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
@Truth: I am concerned about CJ since it is his shooting hand. On second thoughts, he couldn't be worse than what we are putting out there right now. I am amazed how guys get to the NBA level and can't make a jumpshot. I can go down to the gym at night and find dozens of guys who don't miss when wide open. Yet the Jazz cant find one!
CJ can work on his right  | 11:52 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
hand. He needs to work on his moves to the basket and rebounding. Lateral movement exercises would help his defense which is pretty good sometimes. He could have been very useful in some of the games and the Jazz may have won 1 or 2 more if he were available.

Korver just needs to heal up his wheels. His defense is better than his first year but he is really valuable in the last 8 minutes for FT shooting. He also opens up the inside game. He would be enough to rip open a zone.

I still think some of the Jazz problems derive from the lack of designed 3 point plays. The play breaks down and the Jazz have to free lance. That usually results in a bad shot at the end of the clock with no rebound.

The coaches have to design plays for the players they have until Korver and CJ get back. That will solve some problems.

I do not see Maynor handling Rondo but it might help if DWill can play the 2 for part of the night.

Can AK or Mathews bring the ball up?
todd from santa ana | 12:14 a.m. Nov. 10, 2009
Maybe Jerry for the time being to alleviate pressure on DWIL it would be an idea, to take over calling the plays on offense.

I am for whatever will work to get us over our funk.

Look Out D-Will | 7:44 a.m. Nov. 10, 2009
You are about to get posterized by another quick point guard. Rondo will get into the paint at will with very little resistence put up by Williams. This happens way to often in this league.
todd from santa ana | 8:31 a.m. Nov. 10, 2009
at the same time Nash did the same to Rondo. Phoenix won in Boston last friday night in probably up to now the best NBA game this season, why cannot the Jazz?
Cowboy Joe to Todd | 9:49 a.m. Nov. 10, 2009
the Jazz can't be Boston in Boston because they lack coaching, heart, and hustle. Which Phoenix doesn't lack.

Miles | 11:56 a.m. Nov. 10, 2009
@Todd and Cowboy Joe: I thought I lived in fantasy land. I am not too sure why the two of you would even want to be considered fans of such a horrible, awful team? If I were you, I would change teams. I hear the Lakers have Kobe and are considered favorites to win another championship. Something you might want to consider for your own sanity.
Cowboy Joe to Miles | 12:32 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
Why Todd and I are so concerned with the Jazz because we now they have the talent to be an elite team, but lack the motivation. That's what's so frustrating.
Regarding Price: | 1:10 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
I am glad Price will be missing some games; he is really awful. He is the most overated player the jazz have had in a while. Everyone know he is a great athelete, but a very poor player.
jazzman72 | 1:51 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
New year same story. The jazz win 40 plus games and fight for a playoff spot. The only way this team will improve is with a different coach and better players. Once again, the jazz are good, not great.
Most of the Jazz problems | 4:21 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
can be traced to PG play and lack of outside shooting and too short of bench.

1. Williams is injured but playing. That reduces his defensive effectiveness and sometimes his offense. Price is not hurt to the point of not walking. Maynor is a rookie who gets posted up and has trouble going to the rim.

2. AK came thru in NY and saved the game. However, 3 point shooting is not AKs strength. Okur and DWill can be doubled and thier ability to break a zone is limited. Especially with DWill hurt. Mathews is a rookie but the big problem is the lack of set 3 point plays. That is squarely on the coaches.

3. DWill is being ridden into the ground. So far the rest of the starters are holding up pretty well. Millsap has to step up. He has disappeared and could be useful at 3 given the right match up. He can shoot a mid jump shot (at least sometimes).

4. If the Jazz can rebound well enough they can offset some of the damage done by the zone. The bigs can compensate a little for the lack of outside play.

5. PG=big problem.
Jazz need help!! | 6:40 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009
Let's first get a new coach, but since Mr. Miller loves him so much Jerry owns/runs the Jazz. I find it interesting that when a particular shooter goes off on the Jazz Sloan does nothing. No adjustments. Example Memo vs Dirk. WOW. No double, no zone, no change to someone else. Jerry just sat there and watched. Why can't he call a timeout when this young Jazz team is getting murdered? Next the Jazz D is terrible. Still need to get players who want to play defense. Still need a shooting guard who can SHOOT! The best thing the Jazz have going right now is that the Knicks stink!!! Yeah, keep losing NY so we can take that pick and get a player!
