The stock market is up up up. Oh, wait a minute. You mean to tell me that all my gains in the stock market are wiped out by a dollar that is steadily losing value? How can that be? Is there something to this idea of funny money artificially inflating stock values?

What a joke. Gee, I hope the dollar keeps tanking so the stock market goes up.

Sure there is. I'll bet a large number of the people who see the headline will assume TARP worked and we should continue hailing the government as the solution to all our problems.

So where is the great success in this? Wall Street is up, but thats to be expected! The Treasury, our Children and our Grandchildren have been raped by a President and Congress driven on just a few words! Spend, Tax, Take Over, Limit Freedom!

The stock market is a bubble that is benefiting the same companies that were saved by the Administration and Congress through bailouts. And these same firms are jacking up credit card rates, putting more Americans into foreclosure or bankruptcy! They don't lend to small business but see there profits rise! Why? Because the Government gave them free money! How can you not make money when you have free money?

But none of this helps as the dollar plummets in value thus costing Americans more to purchase anything! But, then the Administration says that is good because it make our products cheaper! Oh, but they don't take it a step further and say that China tied its currency to the dollar so all is realative! The Stock market is up, but so is gold, oil and other commodities! THAT SAYS INFLATION IS FAST APPROACHING! Look at Government Securities they cost more almost daily!

the effects of the Geogre W. Bush Presidency are subsiding. Dow hits the highest close it's seen since the Bush-led recession began last October.

Unfortunately it takes time to undo 8 years of failed policies.

Bush inherited a cake walk and a surplus, and ran the country into the ground. Obama inherited a tire-fire, and is trying to put it out.

Gee, I hope people keep getting laid off, so the Wall Street folks will be impressed by the companies cutting overhead. What a disjointed joke.

Yes, you are slow.

To: Slowly: "Bush Inherited a Cake Walk". Hows That? Nine Months into the Bush Presidency 9/11 happened! A cake Walk? The Economy nearly shut down here and in other countries? Air Travel/Trade/Tourism and spending and a reduction in fear took a long time to come! The economy was restarted through tax cuts and the housing crisis was already in process since the Carter Administration. Katrina occurred as the 5th of 6 major hurricanes in a two year period? Cake walk? Added to that was the great humanitarian effort our President put together to help after the sunaumi when 200,00 people perished!(Obama has ignored 5 major Hurricanes in the Philippines! An American Ally!
Democrats want to blame Bush for everything though it is documented that Democrats also played a key role in screwing up our economy. Yes, Obama has been President just 10 months, but he has messed up too! Even the Vice-President admits it! Any policy that helps only big business adds 10 Trillion to our debt and fails to help the small business economic engine(creates 70% of all jobs) is a failure! not to mention Obamas failure to listen to Generals!
