And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (Ephesians 4:11-13).

It appears that this interfaith symposium is trying to fulfill these prophetic verses. But before that happens, the BoM tells us of a day in the not-too-distant future when there will be "save 2 churches only."

Very interesting article.

There's already "only 2 churches".

I know that sounds harsh but that is the truth of the matter.

Why? Why is that so?

Because, despite all the good other churches do, of which there is much, only one church teaches true doctrine from A to Z (or at least the A to Z portion we have thus far) and only one church truly possesses the authority to act for and in behalf of God and His Son in the carrying out of the steps necessary for salvation.

Again, I know that may come across blunt or perhaps even grossly egotistical, but Christ is no pushover. We either submit to HIS will or we we don't, ie, once truth is KNOWN we either submit to His will and are "for" Him or we are "against" Him.

Does that mean that faithful Christians from non-LDS churches are literally "against" Christ? No, certainly not. Notice I said that that line in the sand is drawn once one understands truth, ie, the way things really are.

Christ DOES understand the truth, the way things really are, and He will not yield from that truth one single iota.

God bless us all.

for No offense @ 9:03

And you do understand that those who are not LDS believe just as firmly that you are wrong? This was a wonderful article about how different Faiths can work together for the common good. You turned it into "we are the only one's who are right". And please don't disguise your " we are holier-than-thou" attitude behind your moniker. I do not take offense at your statements. I really just feel sorry for you for being blinded by your misguided beliefs.
