Renovation solutions: Keep your toes toasty with radiant heating in floors

Both electric and liquid heating methods should be considered. However as a rule of thumb I observed that electric seems to be most cost-effective in small/medium sized areas while hydronic competes better in larger areas due to the economy of scale.

I've also learned first hand that an in-floor heating system does not necessarily mean no duct work in the home. With our modern, well sealed homes and the growing number of chemicals introduced to our homes, it is important to have enough duct work in a house to get adequate fresh air exchange (through a ventilator).
