Utah will get their wakeup call against TCU...
and it won't be pretty!
Does it matter?
All UTAH does is win.
Winning is a habit.
Utah has won 29 of their last 31 games, that is amazing, special, and unheard of.
The soft schedule is over. Let the falling out of the top 25 begin. Just like Iowa, all the turnovers and poor offensive play is going to catch up.
Rock says... "When my newspaper flies toward the driveway, I'm there to intercept."
Hmmmm..... Max Hall must be Rock's paperboy.
One game at a time get a W and move on. Watch and learn... haters. I am proud of what the Utes have accomplish, where they are and where they are going.
Hey Brad, why don't you come right out and blame Coach Whit? He's the guy in charge. He should be making sure his team is "ready to play." Maybe being an early riser yourself, you could give him a few hints.
Oh---wait a minute. He's won 21 of his last 22. Umm--never mind.
won't happen like your game...watch TCU , won't know what to do!
Let me breakdown for you like this...Jordan Wynn is the man!!! Should have started him from the start. Team probably would have been more balanced and consistent. They would have won by larger margins because of Wynn's leadership style and comfort with the offense. Probably a little too late now 9 games into the season. Now they face a very tough TCU opponent next week. Utes probably won't win, but game will hopefully be respectable. Like Brad Rock says, Utes show up late and pull out of victory in the end. Of course reality may finally hit them, but all they need to do is just finish strong. Sometimes, it takes a little fire to wake someone up from their acoma. To me the Utes don't take it serious until they are threatened with losing and before the end of the game, snap out of that funk and win. It may not be pretty or convincing but its a win. They have the speed and talent to blowout teams, but that is not what Coach Whitt are in the business of doing. Winning is all they care about. Go UTES!!!
get blown out in Texas. Like Iowa, the balloon is about to burst!
What's so funny is the fact that BYU fans are so jealous and obsessed with Utah that it's just driving them crazy to think that Utah might not get beat as bad as they did by TCU. But what's really funny is Utah has twice been to the BCS and now TCU will most likly be going before BYU and that's priceless !
...to understand the slow start.
Remember this is their rebuilding year when they have an inexperience QB. If Utah is this good while rebuilding...can't wait for next year!
I am a lifelong Utah fan, and have enjoyed watching the football program mature over the last decade. Their first BCS invitation and outcome were wonderful, but there was a noticable step down for the next few years. What is encouraging to me is that this year's post Sugar Bowl squad performs better than the Utes did the year after the Fiesta Bowl. I think this shows that the program is continuing to improve.
But if we as Utah fans want to be respected as having a national power, we need to act like it and quit using the "rebuilding year" excuse.
Remember, the Utes have only lost once. Yes, they have had a hard time putting away mediocre teams, but they find a way to win. And historically, Utah improves throught the season, playing their best football in November and later.
Even if we finish the regular season 9-3, the words "rebuilding year" won't escape my lips.
