Too bad most of us won't be able to see the Utah/TCU game, as it's on CBS College Sports, not Versus or the Mtn.
loose moose | 11:30 p.m. Nov. 7, 2009
The problem will be this, TCU will not be a dis-interested team like Alabama was. So I am afraid the lights will go out on the utes season.
Utah Man | 11:33 p.m. Nov. 7, 2009
They don't sound too scared to me. Take note those of you who feel you have to throw in your two cents. The UTES will be ready and they will leave it on the field, not just leave the field. GO UTES!!!!

Now I have something to really complain about.

Interesting | 5:07 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
This looks like it will be a very interesting game. Hoping for Utah to win, but would like TCU to be the BCS buster this year. If the MWC can have one of those each year then we have a outside chance of replacing one of the lackluster BCS automatic qualifying conferences when the review comes up in two years.
Utah will leave it on the field | 6:01 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
the ball that is. Dropped passes, fumbles. The Utes will be blow out the next two weeks. They will drop out of the top 25 and will not be mentioned in those receiving other votes. You will be seeing purple and blue the next two weeks. Go TCU
Anonymous | 7:08 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Great game coming up. Announcers on CBSC talked about it last night and are very excited to cover the game. They are very high on Utah.

Go UTES!!
Just like last year | 7:39 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
The Utes just need to understand that it is best for the conference if they lose this game and get out of the way for TCU's BCS bid.

At least that's what they said last year...c'mon Utes, don't cost the rest of the conference millions of dollars with a meaningless win on Saturday!
rvalens2 | 7:39 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Utes can't afford a slow start next Saturday. TCU is going to come into the game pump up for a thumping.

Beat the Utes and a BCS Bowl game is all but in the bag. The Horned Frogs know the only team standing in their way is Utah.

Couple that with the memory of last years loss to the Utes and this game is likely to live up to the hype.

I'm a bit torn on this one. I want Utah to win but a loss by TCU likely means no MWC BCS buster this year.

Still ... go Utah! Make it a memorable one for the history books.
Magna Ute | 7:55 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
I'm thinking I'll have to upgrade my cable for a month to catch this game and the one against tds.

Go Utes!
Boise State Stalwart! | 8:14 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Obviously Bronco nation will be pulling for the Utes! Utes must win big, though, really big over TCU for Boise State to earn any respect. In Smurfdom, winning games doesn't matter. It's like Coach Petersen says: with BSU it's NEVER good enough. Even being PERFECT doesn't count.
Navy Ute | 9:15 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Loose Moose, great too see your fascination with the Utes is still intact. It must be driving you CRAZY right now that Utah just keeps on winning despite having yet played their best ball. I love it! Keep those well thought out prognostications coming. As far as disinterested goes, no hyphen required next time big guy. TCU, while being a great team, knows we match up well against them and the fact that we have beat them 3 out of the last 4 seasons plays into their psyche. Dalton also has a tendency to throw interceptions against the our pressure schemes so we'll see what happens. I think we have a good shot of winning if we limit our mistakes and sustain drives. GO UTES!
College Football Fan | 9:28 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
The Utes don't have an experienced QB like Brian Johnson ... remember the 80-yd drive in 2-min to win the game? No King Louie to keep the score close ... remember the 49-yd field goal? No Paul Kruger ... remember he had 3 sacks on Andy Dalton? No Sean Smith and Robert Johnson to shut down the the pass (only Johnson this year). No home field advantage. Best wishes in Ft. Worth!
Chance? | 9:47 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Does Utah even have a chance in this game? I just don't see how Utah can beat such a powerful TCU team. Utah doesn't have much of a passing game (though Wynn has sparked some improvement), and it relies so heavily on Wide (that's why he's always getting 100+ yards - he gets the ball every play).

Objectively, Utah doesn't stand a chance. TCU will shut down Wide, and Utah will have to rely more on its slightly-better-than-mediocre passing game, which TCU will just eat up.

Good luck Utes. A Utah loss is very likely, but here's one that wouldn't mind seeing TCU dominate in a BCS bowl and get good credibility for our conference. Who knows, maybe even a National Championship?

Good luck to the MWC! Go Cougars, Go Utes, and Go TCU!
soylentcbc9 | 9:49 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Do you not think the BYU Utah game will have anything to do with the title if Utes do beat TCU?

So much hate on this beautiful morning!!! Utes may lose if TCU is better but they won't roll over. That's all I ask. Go Utes!!!!!!!!!!!!
cougaroo | 10:39 a.m. Nov. 8, 2009
the utes are one of the great things about amerika. they pursue freedom and democracy and football dominance. you know they will show up and play, not slink away because tcu is too athletic and too fast. if they lose there won't be excuse mongering as to why they lost, but heartfelt congratulations to tcu.

yes indeed, the utes are what college football is all about!!

Enough said. UTAH has been the underdog the last three times they have played TCU. What were the results??? Three wins for UTAH. I say "lace em up and play the game". Remember, this year is a rebuilding year. May the best tean win.
goutes | 12:33 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Nice win against a horrible team, but the Utes came out listless in the 1st quarter. They can't do that against TCU or it will quicky be 21-0 Frogs. Cain better be ready to go because Wynn is going to get rattled by a repeated TCU blitz and a much better defense than the gargabe New Mexico brought. I'm not trying to rain on Utes fan parade or anything, just trying to be realistic. They have been fantastic for what they are, which is a rebuilding team, but what a rebuilding team they are. The young talent they have and are recruiting is so much better than even in the Urban Meyer days. The Utes will lose to TCU, maybe beat BYU and end up in a 2nd rate bowl against a 2nd rate PAC-10 team. The Utes will win that bowl because Utah is better than a 2nd rate PAC-10 team. Remember the days when we couldn't say that Utes fans? It's all good. Who knows, the Utes may just stun TCU and roll. Jordan Wynn is the real deal.

"Fans have anxiously awaited this game, but the Utes say they haven't thought about it."

Nobody want to think to much about getting an old fashioned butt-whooping.

Aways interesting watch it happen when it is reavealed that the emperor has no clothes.

Utah played a great game against a disinterested Alabama team, and have otherwise slipped and slid their ways to a "W", but the team that has not played a solid game in 2 years will be thouroughly dismantled by TCU.

Better have your parades before this weekend.

Re: Loose Moose | 2:26 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009
I thought you were a BSU fan. You better hope and pray that Utah wins this game if I were you. And I don't think utah will win this one. Loose Moose is a fraud he is a BYU fan pretending to cheer for Boise because his team isn't good enough to be at their level. So much for being a true blue cougar fan you poser.
36-3 | 3:02 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Ouch. This game will get ugly real quick. I actually want Utah to win so that I can go to the Orange Bowl, but it ain't gonna happen. Toads are too good.
The_Kaiser | 6:09 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009
So everyone is repeating what we know: TCU is good. I don't deny this.

But many are dismantling the Utes for their uncanny ability to play up to the big games. What is that about pointing out the mote in your brothers eye when you have a beam in your eye? BYU has no place to speak, as they have most likely the worst ranked team winning percentage of any competitive team in the country. What is it now, 3-27 against ranked teams?

The Utes have the ability to beat this team. I may not have said that Pre-Wynn, but they have a chance now. I'll leave it at that, while BYU fans may have to eat crow for their outrageous predictions.

"for all intents and purposes, the Utah-TCU game is the MWC championship game."

Hear that Zoobs, You're nothing to do with it! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Re: MWC | 6:37 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009
I'm guessing you had the same prediction last year, too? Remember 48-24. Utah still has scoreboard over TDS and TCU.

The Quest for Third . . . Go Cougs!
UTAH........ | 8:17 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009
The reason UTAH has a far better chance at beating them, as opposed to provo, UTAH HAS A FAR, FAR FASTER AND MORE ATHLETIC D. That's what these provoites NEVER comprehend. UTAH's also improving on O, and getting Shakerin in their healthy (both our guys 100-yard games yesterday) is HUGE. He undoubtedly will be a factor this Saturday, as TCU must prepare for both of these guys, plus a palpably better passing-game with Wynn in there. We match-up better w/them, than does provo. It's that simple. We may come-up short in this game (I beleive it could go, either way, IMO), but there's NO WAY we get blow-out like provo has, TWO-YEARS IN A ROW. BTW, TCU has, versus AF, a solid D can/will slow them down.

Go UTES!!!!!!!!
HawaiianUte | 10:16 a.m. Nov. 9, 2009
In order to be the best you have to beat the best. Right now its TCU. Like the players say, "This is what college football is all about!"......Coach Whit and his staff will get these players ready......May the best team win and I like my chances with the Utes.....GGGOOOOOOOO UTES!!!!!!!
UtahFan | 10:50 a.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Utah may not win this game, but I can assure you all that they won't be b-slapped like BYU was. I love this new QB, and its a shame he hasn't started the entire season. JWynn may very well have led Utah to a win at Oregon. But he's young, and this is a difficult place for a true freshman QB.
Bojie | 12:49 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
I love how the TDS is not even talked about anymore. I did not see any highlights of their win over the Pokes. Why you might ask, FSU, TCU, Good luck with Air Force, count on another loss this year. Utes have raw talent that will give TCU its first loss, TCU has not faced a tough team all year, Clemson, the same team who lost to MD who has one 2 games. Utah is their toughest opponent. I would have said TDS but... 38-7. Utes will pull this one out, late field goal to win wynn throws for 4TD's.
Re: Bojie | 1:20 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
BYU won't have any trouble with AF because BYU's run defense is solid. Passing defense is another matter completely, but BYU matches up better against AF both offensively and defensively than Utah which is why BYU will beat AF by two or three TDs even though Utah needed overtime to beat the cadets.

Utah, on the other hand, matches up against TCU better than BYU, which is why Utah may keep that game closer than BYU did. But you're kidding yourself if you think Utah is any better than BYU this year. That will be self evident after Saturday. If there's any doubt after Saturday we'll all know the answer after the rivalry game which will be a great one, even if it's for 2nd in the MWC.
keys to the game | 3:38 p.m. Nov. 9, 2009
Utah has to want to win; everyone knows this is a rebuilding year, Utah can't be okay with a 2 loss season to save the MWC's BCS bid. Also, Utah HAS to protect Wynn in the pocket. If he is pressured on a regular basis, seeya to Utah's chances. Also, if Utah puts the ball on the field even once, they are toast. We have to play a clean game. If the Utes can do that, they will make this a really close game if not win it.

Little bro. will have to beat up, again, BYU's bully, TCU. Utah has done it 3 straight years now.

Can the kittens say, "two time BCS bowl champions?" Nope, TDS can't say that. Now that's living in the present.

After TCU, we're coming for TDS. Max will be so Geeked out in his head that he won't know what team to through the ball to just like last year.

BIG game at HOME = TDS gets beat HARD by Utah! Best thing of all is that U know it's comin'.

Go TDS!
Don't like the title | 10:06 a.m. Nov. 12, 2009
Every week is a showdown for the conference Title, win this, you have SDSU, BYU on the road while this gives Utah an inside track if they win, it does not decide the conference.
trueblue | 7:47 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009
I think the Utes will give TCU a run for their money and I wouldn't be all that suprised if they won. I respect the Utes and coach Witt. Good luck Utes and we will see you in provo !

Anyone seen the new Nike Pro Combat Uniforms that TCU will be wearing against Utah? They're horrible. Google Nike pro combat to see how ridiculous they are

Utah running back Eddie Wide, left, celebrating a touchdown with tight end Brad Clifford in Saturday's victory over New Mexico, will be a key to the Utes' success against TCU.
