San Juan just simply destroyed the hopes of a gold trophy for SS. JD Books is
barbecuing some crow right now. Meet at JD's home tomorrow @ 5:00 for a
crow buffet. Way to go San Juan and good luck next week.

As for our kids I am proud of a great season. However I would like to say
something. The season has a sour taste because of whoever JD Books is. You
made our players so up tight. That is all my son would talk about is we have to
win because JD has put so much pressure on us. JD don't do this to us
again in basketball. Do everyone a favor and stay off of the blog.

Well done Broncos. 50 years ago my dad played there and as a kid he always took
me to their playoff games at Mountain View H.S. I guess they've moved it
to Alta, however, I expect the same result. Another state championship for San
Juan. Good luck.

As a fan, parent, and coach I have to say what a day! Four teams playing their
hearts out and giving it everything they have and then some. It's to bad
there has to be a winner and a loser. But please don't slam these kids
that have worked so hard. Grand did an outstanding job getting to the semis, no
one gave them a chance. South Sevier had a great season and played some great
football. It's hard to loose a quality back mid stream. They have a great
program and I am sure we will see more of them in years to come. I agree with
many of the blogs lets keep it positive and upbeat. Give credit where credit is
do, there was some great football played today. I am sure South Summit and San
Juan will bring it all to the table, we would expect no less from either team.

Will the real PAPER TIGER plaase stand up!!! South Sevier was the real PAPER
TIGER all along. Infact, it's obvious, once again that the west was way
weaker. Althought if Kanab had been healthy all year, they were the real deal.
Millard and South Sevier were greatly benefited by a weak region. Great Job SJ
and now it's time to put it all on the line. We all know South Summit is
for real!! It will take a complete game to get a W.

I am a Bronco fan. I would like to say I know there are more real fans like you
than there are JD Books.
The JD Books fans of the world are one of the major problems with Sports today. Great season South Sevier.

To SS Dad...I was at the game and I didn't see JD Books throwing
interceptions or fumbling the ball. Brooks is too outspoken and says stupid
things but give SJ credit for capitalizing on the SS miscues, poor tackling and
predictable play calling. A seventh grade team could have won that game if they
were given that many chances.
To blame a blogger for a poor performance by any team is really passing the blame to where it does not belong.
I don't live in Monroe but graduated years ago and still consider myself as a ram fan.

its funny to see how people say they knew it or whatever.. we knew san juan is
tough.. been there done that.. south sevier hasnt.. but this will give they good
experience to get into championships game in the near future... this is a
wonderful experience.. also if the game had no turnover .... just imagine how
much closer the game would be.. kudos to both teams..

South Sevier is way over rated they didn't have a chance against San Juan,
Grand on the other hand gave South Summit a run for their money Grand and has
been playing good football the past couple of weeks and have improved over the
year. Grand looked a lot better than South Sevier. I think that San Juan has a
better team than South Summit and will win it but it will still be very close

Not only a rematch of earlier this season, but also of two great championships
in '98 and 2000. Should be a good game, as an SS fan, I'm hoping for
a different outcome than the previous mentioned games.

Different year, same result! South Sevier you wanted it so badly to be your
year! A watered down, weak region gave you false optimism. Now it's back
to basketball where most years you really must be taken seriously. (both girls
and boys) A word of advice, great programs are built and maintained by great
coaches who in less than decade get the job done. Still, all 1A and 2A teams
should feel pretty great because with this present realignment things are so
watered down that on any given year in both divisions, there are probably only a
couple of teams who are on loaded years. The top isn't that far away from
anyone!

Great job Broncos. South Sevier really played poorly. I couldn't believe
what an easy game that was. Most of our region games were a lot tougher. Even
North Summit and North Sevier played us harder. Maybe not Gunnison.

GREAT SEASON South Sevier! Sat. game wasn't a true showing for your Team
and abilities!. Sometimes that happens. I have seen every game and you
shouldn't hang your heads! You played some great Football! Coach M and his
assistants are great, hats off to all too! Interesting how all the play-off
games were taken by the "the weak "realignment" teams! All Teams
need to thanked for giving this Season their all! Great Job!

between south summit and san juan have been great like in 98 south summit was up
20 to 0 then a big kick return and san juan came back and won i think this will
all come down to who has more heart and that is san juan

'98 was good, but 2000 was the real heartbreaker for the cats. 4th and
long on their own goal line with 2 minutes left in the game when They threw the
ball on a post rout and the SS receiver caught it, squeezing through two
tacklers, then took off down the field. As a SS fan I remember thinking,
"finally after two 2nd's in a row, we're going to get a
title" and then I believe it was a Shumway kid who ran down our receiver
from the other side of the field and caught him on about the 10 yard line. We
had 4 plays and couldn't get it in the endzone. That game was a classic,
here's to hoping it turns out our way this time

I remember that game, it was a Shumway who ran him down. His little brother is
now the quarterback for SJ. I look forward to another great game between SS and

Watched the games Sat. and it should be a great finals. South Sevier didn't
show up, but San Juan never really allowed it.They took control early and never
let up.Very physical and talented. Congrats SJ on another championship run.
South Summit looked tough as well. San Juan better be ready to stop the run, but
I think they got the horses to do it. Good luck to both. Kinda pulling for SJ
just cuz we played them tough a couple of times, not that it matters. Maybe
we'll see ya at the baseball championship again. Good luck!

Funny how if no other sports are going good for ss, they just say oh wait till
basketball. The bottom line is we worked South Sevier in Football. If we were to
play them again it would be the same result. 9 out of ten times we would beat
them by 28, and the other 1 we would win by 14. A weak west region and a weak
preseason made you look really good. San Juan exposed the real South Sevier in
football. We will continue to do so.

Don't even start on wrestling. We all know that Millard dominates everyone
in wrestling, so don't even go there. With 9 championships in 10 years, no
one in 2A comes close.

Since the Rams lost this weekend I am going to discontinue this tribute for
awhile. Those Broncos were lucky to come out with a win. South Sevier is the

Although i do agree that jd books' comments were ridiculous, admitting that
those comments effected the way your son and the rest of the team played is
pretty pathetic, he could be from a different school posing to be south sevier
fan for all you know, that would be sad to think something like that cost ss the
game, if that were the case, however, (which i honestly don't believe) ss
doesnt deserve to play in the fnals if something like a silly newspaper blog is
gonna beat them

Im not too worried after watching the Grand game. But I bet South summit is
shakin in their boots after watchin San Juan throttle South Sevier.
