Shak is back at running back. He didn't bust up any Joints did he? No the guy ran hard and I am rooting for the local. It was just so odd when he had one carry for 46 yards, a TD, and two injuries.

I'm not gonna lie, I hated you when you played for Alta--but that's in the past, and you're a UTE now.

GREAT GAME!!!

just fyi! everyone keeps saying that Shak got 2 injuries on his first run! Fact: Shak had been playing special teams every game. Pretty positive the shoulder injury came early in the game while during his special teams play- His run was certainly not the first time he had seen the field though it WAS his first at running back!
You are awesome Shak looking forward to many more yards for the Utes!!!

This is one guy that I've got to give props to as a BYU fan. I was let down big when we didn't get him, likely in the same way Utah was let down when we got Harvey Unga. He is one guy that I'm wouldn't be looking forward to accounting for if I was the BYU defense. He's got huge potential and could do huge things for Utah in years to come. Without him, Utah would be very thin on the depth chart at running back.

the X-Factor for us. I think it absolutely makes a HUGE difference that tcu must prepare for two capable RBs. He's a great change-up to EW.

Go UTES!!!!!!!!
Asiata | 11:22 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009
Whitt just said on ch 4 that Asiata is leaning toward coming back next year. Also that Utah's compliance office says it is basically a slam dunk if he decides to do so. Imagine Asiata, Wide III and Shak next year! My only concern would be having enough carries to go around.

Wide and Shakerin have both shown a much stronger ability to break open large runs... it will be a travesty if Asiata can come back and start again next year. I think he's done.

Wide is setting records, but next year I'm afraid Wide will be #2 behind Shak.. Get that local boy some carries!

I watched him destroy Bingham in the 5A title game two years in a row, so it's nice to watch him again as a Ute!

Nice to see my boy shak getting some love. He was a beast as a hawk and will be a beast as a ute. This guy is a playmaker.

Shak is an incredible player. This very respectful young man is bound to break many records. We are thrilled to see our hometown hero get some play time. We are proud to know you Sausan ~
