I love that Rowland Hall does service tied to the science curriculum! They bagged 194 bags of leaves that day, so it certainly also helped the aviary -- which is an amazing place!

Lucy Putnam scoops up a load of leaves as she and other third-graders from Rowland Hall School rake leaves during a service project at Tracy Aviary on Friday. The project tied together service-learning and the students' third-grade science curriculum, which includes studying bird anatomy, behavior and habitats.
