A school teacher is taught in their training the phrase: "Monitor and Adjust" when doing their classroom instruction so that they stay in touch with the learning process of the individuals being taught and Adjust the teaching process to meet the needs of those individuals when necessary.
If one gets into a "rut" of Inflexibility, Bad Things will happen when adjustment to fit the new situation doesn't happen because of "stubborness" or just plain "inability" to change direction for "whatever" reason.
Life is a journey of many twists and turns that we are not always able to see in advance before they come.
To be sucessful, we need to Monitor and Adjust so when "our cheese" disappears or moves, we at least have Some Kind of a Possible Plan. Many times Prayer is a Great tool to help us adjust especially if we can connect to "the Spirit".
