If the guy was drunk and unruly, then I say he deserved what he got. Time to own up to your bad behavior people!

This man is lucky to be alive, given that a Taser was used on him TWICE. Notice that he became unconscious after the two shocks were administered.

The difference between this man and those who have died after being shocked with a Taser is that he suffered only a brief, mild effect, from which he spontaneously recovered without any apparent long-term effect on his health.

Alcohol consumption can be a risk factor for death following a Taser shock, and this man appears to have been at an elevated risk of death from a Taser shock due to his previous consumption of alcohol (including the likelihood that he had not consumed much food while he had been drinking).

If the second Taser shock hadn't been a "dry stun", or if a third Taser shock had been administered, it is almost certain that this guy would have become a "Taser death" case!

The Taser is a LETHAL weapon that CAN be used non-lethally by someone who has been taught how it kills, and therefore knows what to AVOID doing. To date, NO law enforcement officers who use Tasers have received such training! Inadequate Taser training can kill!

AA must be a medical expert, maybe you should talk to TASER about your knowledge. I'd like to hear what your suggestion is for dealing with someone out of control. I suppose you're a self defense/martial arts expert, as well.

Nightsticks, beatings, chokes and other methods of restraint to gain control over a suspect are just as lethal and just as prevalent as deaths where TASERs are used. This was the perfect deployment of a TASER. Like any weapon, they can be misused, but this case was not one of them. Save your commentary for a case that someone appears to cooperate with the police and still get shot with a TASER.

TASERs also reduce officer injury and worker's compensation costs by unmatched statistics compared to any other tool they have.

I'm sure you'll still depend on police to come to your rescue when you find yourself in an unfortunate situation of becoming a crime statistic. I hope their busy rescuing someone who appreciates their service, instead.
