In a funk... In a funk?
How could you possibly be in a funk in the biggest MWC game of the year?
The Cowboy fans will welcome the Cougars with a hostile environment. The Cougars will characteristically fold under the pressure.
Stick a fork in 'em, the Cougars are done.
oh Howard S you and the rest of the ute nation would love to truly believe that BYU is done. You really know that BYU wins out and you end up in San Diego bowl again. Yes Vegas will take BYU again, simply because they put fans in the seats. Probably will be a few ute "fans" in the vegas bowl watching too. See BYU travels well and they even drag along a few BYU "haters" such as yourself.
Until some changes are made, this team is just not showing chemistry. It may be a few coaches need to go and bring some different attitude or charisma, but beating the lower to middle of the pack in or conference is just not fun to watch when you come out flat against TCU and Utah. I'm tired of it.
Note to Tom Holmoe & Coach M: My $800 ticket money is going into food storage next year and the year after..etc. if no changes are made somewhere. I won't sit through any more home blowouts! I don't mind a loss...but at least play the whole game and make it a GAME.
Hey, Moose...BYU may not be putting fans in the seats as you predict in your usual arrogant tone. Please see: Cougar Power | 11:40 p.m.
utah fans travel very well also.... just to New Orleans, Tempe AZ etc.
Too many people take sports way too seriously. Its just a game and the players are just kids. Go Cougars & do your very best today.

what's with the "if"? Bronco already said...stay the course. What do you think will happen when they "stay the course"? BYU will lose to powers like TCU, Utah and will win against the likes of UNLV, UNM, etc
Take your $800 and donate to charities.
Or occasionally, drive up north and watch how a real football team should play --join us at Ute Nation!
I don't know how you can claim that Clawson's hit on Bradford was brutal. I've seen it dozens of times and there was nothing violent about it. The fact that Bradford was hurt seemed to be a pure fluke, until it happened again against another team.
No, it can't be characterized as a brutal hit.
Dick,
You know what is even more vital than momentum? Winning.
BYU will win this one by 30. I don't see a let down.
It isn't arrogant to say BYU travels well, because there are BYU fans everywhere they go because of their church affiliation plus all those who do travel with the team. Cougar Power, I think you are a pathetic, spoiled, boorish fan. Good bye fair weather fan. Enjoy your food storage.
moose says... "See BYU travels well and they even drag along a few BYU "haters" such as yourself."
Intersting, you'd think with all that support the Cougars could get themselves invited to a BCS game like Utah, Hawaii, and BSU.
But I guess not....
I am a BYU fan that has been to several games in Laramie. Wyoming always plays BYU tough there. If BYU comes in without a game plan to address Wyoming's weaknesses, they will lose. BYU is too inward focused on execution without focusing on an opponent's points of weakness.
No, no, no, Nannette, the arrogant tone started with Howard S. Play nice, children!
Whether it's Max, or just coincidence, the past two years the cougars have been a head case. With the exception of the OU game, and try all you want, OU is a GOOD team, if not the giant they have been in the past.
But Moose, I don't think, and I don't want to be picked by Vegas again. I'll settle for winning out, including a whupping of Utah, and an invite to San Diego or some bowl statistically better than Vegas.
The Vegas - BYU connection is like a teacher's pet. It's getting old.
"a few coaches need to go"...why not start with the head coach"/...listen to the guy on 1280 the zone interview.."all is well"; "do not need to give pep talk";
Man, is this guy up in the night!
I've been a BYU fan all my life. To have a player say "we've got our swagger back" is an all tell comment about what is wrong with BYU football! How about saying "we've got fire back in our guts" instead? SWAGGER? You have got to be kidding me!
If a team is favored to win by two touchdowns, that doesn't mean the line makers predict that's what will happen. All it means is that they had to spot BYU two touchdowns in order to balance out the number of people betting for each team.
Can somebody please explain to me how you can be in a funk on the sideline and have no energy against TCU.Our cougars were playing a team that had crushed them a year earlier and ended their big conference winning streak. It should have been easy for them to be super exited to play that game.If you can't get up to play in a game like that then you don't deserve a scholarship.I believe the real root of the problem was that the cougs had no real belief or confidence that they could win the game. They were beaten before they ever took the field.
If BYU can dominate Wyoming as badly as Utah did...
