Michael Moore is a private citizen. He's entitled to make any movie he wants. 'Don't like it, don't go see it.

Or would you prefer censorship?

Here's a novel idea.

These companies could stop making money off of the sweat of needy children and they wouldn't need to con people into believing that donating a shoe that cost them a few dollars to make in exchange for the ability to make extreme profits off of other peoples ignorant belief that they are helping the poor and needy by buying shoes for $90 while the shoe only cost the manufacturer, wholesaler and others parties a few cents to a few dollars to manufacture, ship and merchandise.

Giving needy children shoes in exchange for making $90 is like giving them the wage that they and their parents are making in the sweat shops throughout the U.S. and the world.

Most the people who constantly bash Moore have never seen his films. Once there was a active free market buying and selling slaves.

Oh the foolishness and short-sightedness of libs. Don't they understand that there will be no money for their silly social engineering once they kill the capitalist golden goose?

It's a real shame so many folks have never gotten out and gotten to know the people of this great nation better. Those of us who have, have talked to many Americans who work hard and have dreams of someday owning a business.

I read these comments from conservative who through listening to the daily lies on talk radio and Fuax News, have no faith in America.

There's a reason us liberals earn more as a group. We know that you can't live in fear and business requires taking risks and having vision. You can't surround yourself with negativity and secede.

Life is about free agency. You can blame others for you failures. You never did anything with your life because of liberals. Little wonder you revere Palin the quitter. She's so much like many of you.

Go to you Fox sponsored whine in and commiserate with like minded losers why you can't gt you life in order.

As a Mormon, I'm ashamed to see the Deseret News rush so quick to judgment of Michael Moore, once again jumping on the right wing bandwagon. When will you realize that doing so makes us look less like the true church of Christ and more like right wing shills? I've seen the movie, and the specific individuals and institutions he targets (which do include Democrats) deserved each bit of criticism they earned. Please, Deseret News, ask yourself if Christ would really use his words to parrot Faux News, before you rush to condemn Michael Moore.

Weren't the Money Changers in the Temple -- Capitalists?

This is by far the weakest and most petty argument in favor of capitalism I've ever seen. The author fails to address a single issue raised by the film. The reason for this is obvious: he didn't see the film. What does it say about the Deseret News organization that they allow their journalists to critique films without actually seeing them?

Michael Moore's film brings to light some of the most shocking behavior on the part of the rich, including a Citibank internal report that celebrates the U.S. as a "plutonomy" where the top 1% of rich American households account for more financial wealth than the bottom 95% COMBINED. The film also exposes people who prey on the poor by buying foreclosed homes and selling them at a profit, as well as "dead peasant" insurance whereby companies like Wal-Mart profited from the deaths of their employees via secret life insurance policies. Or how about recipients of the $700 billion bailout giving their executives million dollar severance packages?

And the author of this article wants you to believe that this is all okay, because the employees at The Container Store seem happy? Pretty lame.
