Thank you Darrel Ross. I have long said that people talk about the constitution a lot more than they read it. Boehner's quote comes from the Declaration of Independence, not the preamble to the constitution.

I am glad that at least you know our founding documents.

@lesson one:
I do not trust any politician of either party to tell the truth about either the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution.
Nor would I trust the modern day teachers of history from either the public schools or professors at colleges and universities.
I would wish that people would read it for themselves.

Irrespective of whether he got the source wrong, it is contained in one of the founding documents and still validated his point.
