Someone has to pay for it. There is voluntary charity, that provvided by individuals, churches and private organizations such as the United Way.

We don't have a right to dig into our neighbors pocket to help someone. It is your responsibility to visit the billing department to make arrangements, take on an extra job if needed to pay your bills.

You can't force your neighbors too. Someone still has to pay it. And what business does not want to make a profit. That is the aim of all of them you wouldn't work for free would you?

If you use a service do what you can to pay for it. Don't make someone else.

Fred, ones health comes from the lottery of DNA. Not to long ago options to repair a body were limited. In the last 50 years the products and services to repair bodies have been created by creative and intelligent men and women, not as a gift from God like manna. You and many of your ilk suggest that everyone has access to the labor of these creators by some magical right.

Why?

You don't have a right to the house, car, or island of your choosing without fair exchange. Why is the enslavement of society for your life a right? Why should you have a right to force another man to repair your body at his expense when no action of his caused your condition? You don't, and you shouldn't.

You are the primary beneficiary of your own life, not me. I work to sustain my own life and have the expectations that others will do so for themselves. Any other method makes slaves of us all.

Fred,
You are missing the real issues here. People are not turned away from care, anyone that needs it now just can go to an Emergency Room and can not be denied.

The real issues are about the farce that has become our Gov't. This is a money grab, as well as control. The USA will suffer as a country by opening this can of worms.

The healthcare bill makes criminals of the young and healthy if they don't contribute to the maintenance of a bunch of old carcasses. Medicare is bankrupct and in the red so let's just steal more from the young. The young in this nation, frequently unemployed and arguably the lowest paid, need their money to buy automobiles, to get to a job, and then the establishment of a home and furnishing. So where is this 8-10% they have to throw into the socialized medicine pot. They will be like the young I saw in Europe, poor, hopeless, living with parents. They have low birthrates because they have poor futures to offer their children. Shame, shame on this corrupt Congress.
