Tom you're an incredible person. I have never see you acting in a film I found troubling to watch. You have a story kids could learn from.

While attending California State University, Sacramento Tom's drama instructor told tom he would never become an actor. Sometimes its better to listen to your heart than to listen to authority.

Yes, Tom is a solid American film actor, But I would hardly put him the category of him never having made a film "troubling to watch." Anonymous must never have seen "Joe versus the Volcano" or "Bachelor Party." Those are pretty embarassing. And I'm troubled by Hanks' financing and promotion of HBO's "Big Love" series, which is so full of smears and outright falsehoods about the LDS Church. That part of him troubles me. But glad he's promoting appreciating for Veterans through war movies that have made him wealthy. That's the least he coudl do.

I sure wish I could be there in The Big easy to see this. There were so many millions of American men and women in that war effort. It was a worthy cause but so terribly brutal. Good vs. Evil was clearer back then. Tom is (in many ways) far too liberal for me - and too quick to forget any contribution Sacramento - my town - made to his life and career. I am grateful to him for honoring my late DAD & MOM's generation.

To "Incredible Actor" Joe versus the Volcano is one of my favorite films. Bachelor Party, on the other hand, was crap. However, Mr. Hanks is quite believable in just about everything he's in. But, 'Joe vs Volcano' has such a wonderful message and has tremendous insight regarding "Brain Clouds".
