Make the gateway pay for the bridge or start assessing property tax to the energy solutions arena!!! What a joke.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense. What do the gateway and ESA have to do with a freakin' old bridge that is way beyond needing replacement?

Read the article again, they are readjusting the property tax, but the ESA does not pay property tax! Start charging them!! Increase tax on the businesses in the area, that is what I am talking about!!

Sure! hit the business owners with another tax, makes sense to me to keep taxing them out of business.

ESA doesn't pay property tax because the property is deed restricted, so the City takes full ownership of the land in 2040. The city makes far more money off of the increased property value and resulting tax increment it gets as a result of the ESA than it would if it just took a simple property tax off the ESA property.
