I notice she is wearing a hair scarf. Hmmm. Women's rights are still dead in Islam.
I know that Hilary Clinton is just being polite and diplomatic by wearing that head scarf and boxy jacket, but I think that being an American woman and also being secretary of state (3rd in line to being president), she should be able to dress like she normally does. She always dresses well and is well groomed in her normal American attire. The Muslim countries that she visits should show her the respect and be diplomatic to her and let her wear American clothes.
What are they going to do, stone her for dressing like an American?
Its called "being polite".
Its how civilized people show respect.
DOTF, people like you never fail to disappoint. Thanks so much. BTW, did you even bother to read the article?
It's fine she's wearing a scarf out of respect. But is it out of respect or does she have to wear it? Is it because of where they took the picture, at the memorial? It may have been sacred ground which warranted the respectful gesture.
The head covering is how they honor God. It isn't oppressive.
She wears a scarf for the same reason I don't wear a tank top to a Mormons home.

I hate to disappoint you but I was commenting on the photo not the article. Get off your PC pulpit and think for yourself. You didn't disappoint me. Your response was so... well, it wasn't intelligent for sure. I would normally use another word but DN removes my posts if I tell you how intelligent you really are.

How in the world do you survive life? Did you ever wonder WHY the man wasn't wearing a scarf. Oh, I get it, he doesn't respect God OR perhaps, maybe, ya think he might just be exempt because he is male?
