Nineteen-and-a-half years is a long life for a dog. Bless the owners and this loving animal for their service.

The book, "Moments with Baxter," sounds great, and the Youtube video of the same name was lovely.

Therapy dogs do so much good.

Good dogs can be amazing, can't they? They never share your secrets, they don't talk back or give unsolicited advice, they are never fake, they accept everyone who doesn't physically threaten them. They are perfect for giving comfort, especially to those who haven't received the same treatment from humans they should have been able to trust, but for whatever reasons, couldn't.

Great story.
