Our founding fathers knew all too well that government is a terrible master! To avoid that problem they wisely drafted the constitution to limit the powers of government in our new experiment with democracy. Now Democrats have learned that they need pay no attention to the consitituion because they don't need it. All they need is a Democrat majority and a President who will sign anything that gives the government more power and control! After all folks they know what's best for you, don't they? So much for freedom!
Vote 2 prevent U from killing us | 3:27 a.m. Nov. 5, 2009
RE:More good news!

What part of Democrats holding on to one House seat and gaining another don't you understand?

What part of a Democrat winning a seat held by the Republicans for hundreds of years don't you get or that the shining light of the whacko's Sarah Palin endorsed the loser yet he still lost don't you get through your thick skull?

At a time when health care is the talk of the nation the voters chose to vote for 2 Democrats in the only 2 seats which were up for election that would have a direct vote on universal health care.

How people vote in Gubernatorial elections where the issues are different has no bearing on their belief on universal health care but how they vote in races which will get to vote on universal health care does and they overwhelmingly voted yet again for those who support universal health care instead of for the murderers who oppose it because they are fed up with these voters casting votes that kill their loved ones.

So turn against us. It's not like you haven't killed many of us already.

Forced Socialism | 4:10 a.m. Nov. 5, 2009
The committed left, like Pelosi and Obama, are determined to use this moment in time to "fundamentally change America" into their socialistic vision. Which is blatantly anti-American and runs counter to the principles this nation was founded on. Thankfully, there are a handful of Democrats who are taking-on their own party right now. Pray for them. And us.
Pelosi Bill Raises Taxes | 4:15 a.m. Nov. 5, 2009
I just read a summary of what's contained in the Pelosi (House) bill on health care reform. It raises about a dozen different types of taxes in order to pay the bill for the uninsured. I have an Health Savings Account (HSA) health plan for my family. The Pelosi plan would tax my family's HSA in order to help pay for illegal immigrants' health care. I'm outraged! We love our HSA plan. They ought to be encouraging people to own HSAs that empower people to guide their own health care and which incentivizes them to be wise in medical spending. Instead, Pelosi bill wants everyone to be reduced to the same plan, and government-mandated bureaucracy and mediocrity. Tell me, again, why this would be a good thing? I'm disgusted.

Have the republicans done any good in the world today? Have the republicans helped anyone in need (like the unaffordable healthcare costs and system)?
....
Has anyone burden been lightened today because republicans have been willing to share in others care? ...

Keep whistling past the graveyard, Democrats. The 2010 elections are shaping up to be a 1994-style thumping.

It's not surprising that Dems and their Media allies would purposely try to distort the facts about New York's 23rd district; it doesn't look at all good for them.

Their candidate won by a paltry 3% percentage points and failed to win a majority of the vote, and this was only after the Republican candidate took the almost unprecedented step of quitting and publicly endorsing the Democrat.

Not to mention that politically-speaking the Democrat candidate was more conservative than the Republican he was running against. Nancy Pelosi is seriously deluded if she believes his first vote in Congress is going to be for socialized medicine.

Meanwhile, a conservative, third-party candidate who was polling in the single digits just two months ago got 46% percent of the vote after getting endorsed by Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin. Had the Republicans not been divided, he would have won by a comfortable margin.

I suggest we dismantle the military and use all the money on education so we won't have ignorant people using words like "socialism" without knowing what they mean.

Every freshman economics or political science student is taught what this term means yet so many people here misuse it. There are NO socialists in the US legislature much less the executive branch. Even in Europe there are few socialists in positions of power. President Obama would be considered a conservative in Europe based on his views.
