Regarding Lieberman...."The Democrat won in New York's 23rd District, aka the Watertown Waterloo."

Well, he's a senator, so he won in the whole state, not a district. So what's this sentence about?

Lieberman happens to believe, like a majority of Americans, that government-provided insurance is a terrible idea (fiscally and medically) for just about everybody: government, citizens, and the medical sector.

He is right not to believe he must do what other Democrats say just because they say so.

He's a maverick. He, McCain, Snowe, and others should just get it over with and form a centrist party. Our political scene would actually make MORE sense then.

Afterthoughts By Mark Russell

Tribune Media Services

Harry Reid said that a health-care bill might not be on the president's desk until after the first of the year.

HERE'S WHY, he don't want to TICK-OFF the voter's, before the 2010 election, and lose any more State's and seats in Congress, so he'll "put on the stall tackets" again, then, if he can keep the socialist utopian's in Congress and take back the Red State's to, he'll open up that can of worm's more, and tax every one to death, to pay for it, amoung other thing's as well, then sit on his duff until he's ousted out of Office in 2010.

That's why.

Any question's?.

Here's another reason WHY - the only GREAT #1 KEY State in the Nation, (sorry Utah you lost again) that's a Red State also, of the "good ole boy redneck network of GOP's", that has more Mormon's in it now then Utah, is on "the Rock n Roll" this time around again, and, has got their act together, while the "snowboarding State" of Utah, sits indoors for nhe next several months, under gray skys, and freezing temp's, snowed in, thinking about it. That's why.

The Democratic party has joined the Republican National Committee in asking Tampa to apply to host its 2012 presidential election year national convention.

Tampa Bay & Co., Hillsborough County's visitors industry marketing group, has received a letter from the Democratic National Committee and will begin to study the prospects of applying to host the event, Tampa Bay & Co. executive vice president Steve Hayes said this afternoon.

Tampa Bay & Co. in August received notification from the Republican National Coimmittee seeking an application from Tampa to host the 2012 convention.

Joe most American want health care reform including 61% in Lieberman's state. Why use facts when they are inconvenient, Fox News never does.

What in the blazes are you talking about?????
Joe Moe | 1:44 p.m. Nov. 5, 2009
@1:16

61%....sure...61% want what exactly? Reform? Sure, I'll bet it's a lot more than that if you phrase it right: "Sir, public servants propose to improve healthcare for everyone. Would you say you strongly agree, somewhat agree, somewhat disagree, or strongly disagree with this goal?" Well, wow, is there really a question about that?

Who doesn't want to improve healthcare? The different poll numbers we keep seeing are related to the question and phrasing. The biggest details: does it include the "public option"? Are they up front about the cost involved (according to Congress's own budget office estimates)?

Why let inconvenient nuances and details get in the way of your opinion?
