How long was the mother gone on vacation? She needed a break for sure. But the frustration the care-taker is sad. It's hard to do things alone. Why was there no support system for this Father? Where was the family contact and support system or even the neighborhood. Parents need to "sack up" and ask for help so the kids do not suffer. Don't be ashamed as a parent if you feel you are angry and want to hurt. It happens to all of us. But we are accountable - so IT'S OKAY TO ASK FOR HELP!
Naturally people will do the right thing and support you. Have the courage to ask for help, nobody should shame you. I feel sorry for this father as he was obviously stressed out. I'm sure there is more to the story but bottom line. ASK FOR HELP!
