Less than 48 hours, I can't wait. Bonneville is good, but Dixie will be better. Go Flyers!

John Matuauto is going to show the spingville defense the meaning of pain.

It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes a very special team to win on the road during the playoffs. We'll see what Bonneville is made of this Friday. I personally think Dixie pulls this one off for two reasons: 1-No 6 hour bus ride. 2-That Sharp kid is a stud. Good luck to both teams, can't wait to see what happens.

Good Luck Bonneville! You guys are awesome and we are so proud of how well you have done this year! Take it to EM'!!

Lets go Dixie!! Represent the south! We will be there on Firday in our BLUE!!
Bus ride | 9:35 a.m. Nov. 5, 2009
It will be nice to have one of the northern schools experience what is somewhat of a common thing for the southern schools. That bus ride does take its toll on the players and coaches but at least the southern schools have experience in taking them. Bonneville cannot prepare totally for that first long ride. Good thing they are coming down a day early to get the kinks out but then there is the problem of keeping all those kids busy while waiting for the game. I wouldnt want to be in that motel tonight lol. Good luck Flyers. Make region 9 proud.

Dont under estimate the Lakers, they have proven it with skyview, then with bountiful! Long bus ride doesnt seem so good, and maybe not too fair, but hey Lakers can do it! Keep proving all the doubters wrong! Go get the big win, get home and get all your team healthy, and stay healthy for Springville! GO Lakers! We believe

Lakers need their offense to work for the dixie game! Is #9 qb back yet anyone know?

sorry boys
Re: Sky View Parent | 1:01 p.m. Nov. 5, 2009
No #9 is not back. Still out with a shoulder injury. But yes the Lakers do need their offense! Should be a good one

"will show you how tough they really area."

Not sure what this means?

GO DIXIE!!!

Until you've made a road trip of this magnitude you don't really know what you're in for. While the Flyers daily routine will only be slightly altered the Lakers face too many distractions from the long ride and not sleeping in their own beds. Dixie 28 Bonneville 17

Bonneville if you are saying that your game against Sky View was tough thats a the funniest thing I've ever heard on here. Springville had their way with Sky Vieww and the Dixie game was a close game all the way through. So if you think Dixie is going to be like Sky View your dead wrong. Have fun on that bus ride home after you lose.
coachs daughter | 5:46 p.m. Nov. 5, 2009
I have watched bonneville for a long time. My dad is one of the football coaches. There is no way the bus ride is going to have a toll on them. The coaches have put together an excellent plan. Bonneville has travled far before not this far but everyone has gone to St.George before once in their life time. I believe it will be a close game but bonneville will come on top. The St. George team plays against weaker teams and to be honest there offence can not compet with Bonneviles d. I do not know why everyone is makeing a big deal about the drive. I would rather sleep in a hotel bed any night. + they are going to have a better meal then the other team. The bus does not make a diffrence. The problem for the Dixi team is they have not played a team as good as Boneville. This must be the most exciting thing that has happend to that town in a long time.

Don't you mean Sky Line becuse Sky View has not lost a game this sesson. And it would be imposibal for those two teams to play. It will take a 9 hour drive. Dixi is defently not going to be like Sky View becues you have lost and are going to have a loss.

Sons of Bonneville it's time to put that good old saying of Coach T.Budge
PAY THE PRICE.
and victory will be urs if ply by this and rest, and take care of Ball!!!!!
Man on the sidelines | 10:48 p.m. Nov. 5, 2009
NO I MEAN SKY VIEW! That is who we played last week and we kicked their trash. So therefore Sky View has lost a game. Get your facts rights before you say I'm not right. And you should learn how to spell too.
The trip is an equalizer | 11:30 p.m. Nov. 5, 2009
I laugh when I hear northern Utah schools complain about making a trip to St. George as being unfair. Bonneville is a good team but that trip will take the legs out of a team...even if they come the night before as they have to sit around all day waiting for the game to start.

This will be a fun game to watch.

They did plan more then a warm up before the game this afternoon so they'll have the feet underthem and their heads in the game rested and all
Carter Miller | 8:06 a.m. Nov. 6, 2009
If Mike Sharp played up North, he would be considered one of the best quarterbacks in the state. But since he playes South of Juab, no one has said a word about him. I have been involved with High School football since the mid 80s and Mike Sharp is easily one of the best high school quarterbacks I have seen. If you do not plan on containing him or just go in with a normal quarterback game plan, he will hurt you. Just ask all the teams that have played him so far. Go Flyers!

Great guess! 24-14 Final
PV for Dixie | 7:20 p.m. Nov. 6, 2009
The other day I predicted Flyers 32 Lakers 17. I was wrong. It was Flyers 24 Lakers 17. If Sharp had played the last quarter or so, it would easily have been 32, or more. Matuauto had 169 rushing yards, the team 269 I believe, against another of the self-proclaimed 'invincibles' north of I-70. I guess (1) the bus trip DID take a toll, or (2) It just could be Dixie was better. I know the North will choose the reason most conducive to their now deflated egos. Go FLYERS!

GO FLYERS!! You guys did great tonight! Good luck against Springville next week!

Bonneville players and fans celebrate a surprising overtime victory over Bountiful last week, and they hope to be doing the same thing this Friday when they travel to St. George to take on Dixie in the 4A quarterfinals.
