Good luck in your endeavors. Church productions always have the sanitized, cleaned up version of events. I still think Joseph would have been around a lot longer if he had followed the laws of the land and not resorted to doing his own thing. Destroying the Expositor Press to curtail exposure of his plural wifery, in my opinion, was cowardly and led to his demise. Propositioning other men's wives led to anger and revenge. There are many ways to look at these things--martyrdom or murder.

Thank you for a very interesting story. Why I am not LDS, I do enjoy stories that are uplifting, no matter who does them or what they are about.
Many years ago in the early 60's I came to Utah to visit. I went with a friend of mine to a small Utah town of Midway, hear Heber. There was a home there that looked like it was out of a town if the Alpine villiages of the Swiss. We knocked on the door and an older woman opened it smiled warmly and asked us to come in. It was like stepping back in time. The home was built in the 1850's by her Grandfather and had been left unchanged. Her name was Lethe Colman Tatge. She placed her hand in mine and said,"You just shook the hand, that shook the hand of the Prophet Joseph Smith". I shall never forget the feeling I had that day.I felt I had touched his hand! Best wishes on a wonderful run. Don't be discouraged by negitive comments. There will always be those that will try and dash your hearts.

Apparently you are only concerned with the versions that fit your template. Try searching history of the church that isn't written by the persecutors of it.
