My wife and I saw it opening night. I was skeptical--a musical Sleepy Hollow? But it was a really great production. Much like the article's author, I was wondering how the chase scene would work. It was really cool. If you get the chance to see this, it is well worth the time.
Loved the show! What a great opportunity to see an original musical. I thought the part of Ichabod Crane was masterfully portrayed. I didn't expect such a scrawnyb guy to have such an incredible voice!
I saw the show last night. I agree with your review of the actors--they all did a great job. However, considering your usual balanced view of shows in the area I was surprised your only negative comment was the orchestra and the length of the show. My whole party had a good time, but agreed the show itself--script, staging, etc.--all needed a lot of work.
Had a hard time keeping up with why Ichabod thought marrying Katrina would end the curse, and why Katrina and Brom thought the curse was ended and could get married. Other than that I loved the show and hope it does well.
